Rank MNE artists, which ones you like the most and which ones the least?
My list: How excited I am of hearing new music/projects from MNE roster:
Really excited:
Twiztid
After all these years, Twiztid is still fucking amazing. I have no doubt that their new album has mostly great music on it.
Boondox
Boonie is pretty amazing with right production. I’m really hoping MNE pushes his stuff to the next level with “The Murder”.
G-Mo Skee
My filthy spirit bomb is my shit. There is something special about G-Mo, when he raps I just listen. He says some wild shit which is really fresh to me (especially when it’s 2017 and everything has to be “politically correct”), and his beats and delivery are on point. He is easily the best “new” artist on MNE, can’t wait for the Chaly and the Filth Factory album.
Cautiously/Mildly excited
The ROC
ROC used to dope. I mean really dope, especially on his Halfbreed days. Nowadays I just don’t know man. He just sounds so.. off? Hard to explain, it just feels like he isn’t really rapping on the level he used to. I hope he proves me wrong and Digital Voodoo is something amazing, but I’m not exactly holding my breath.
Gorilla Voltage
These guys have crazy potential to me. I listened their Damn Dirty Apes album and it was good. Not like crazy good, but good nonetheless. I’m hoping that their involvement with MNE helps them achieve greatness, but it is hard to say what is going to happen. Their MNE debut album might be bad, might be great. It’s a 50/50 chance, and I’ll be waiting which way the coin lands.
Not really excited
Blaze
Never liked Blaze. His solo stuff, features or verses on group projects have never done anything for me. It’s not like the dude can’t rap or is lazy, he just.. lol I dunno. Hopefully I can tolerate him on the upcoming Triple Threat album.
Lex the Hex Master
This guy obviously tries hard and is super productive, but he is so bland it hurts. His typical high energy/fuck everything angry rap just just doesn’t work for me. I will check out his next album like I always do, I mean at least he can’t disappoint me right?
Young Wicked
Umm I just listened his Vengeance EP and all I can say is WTF. His music sounds so basic, boring and bad. Maybe it wasn’t his best work or something (haven’t listened anything else from him yet) but right now I’m just wondering why the hell he even got signed. Not a fan.

if youre lookin at it as excitement for new things and whatnot… lex. roc, blaze and twiztid, mildly. gmo and electro apes i aint got around to checkin out, and im not real motivated at the moment, for some reason.
lookin at it as who do i ‘like’? right now, theyre all tied.
why? cuz they stand together as a label, and i respect that, so they all get equal credit.
unfortunately, standing together as a label ended up meaning not standing with me. plus zero credit.
oh. roc gave an explanation of his feelings that wasnt a straight blowoff. he gets a one point edge over the rest for that.
aint a good time for this one to pop up, for me. bein honest.

Really excited:
Lex – Contact was album of the year for me.
Twiztid – Always stoked for new Twiztid.
Gorilla Voltage – I dug these guys right off the bat. Never knew anything about them until the MNE sign.
Cautiously/Mildly excited:
Blaze
I’ve always been a huge Blaze fan since day 1. However, I have not bought his last 3 albums for whatever reason I’m not sure. Didn’t like GR and that re-hashed album was just ok. And I thought Caskey Factoy was horrible. It was just track after track of the same recycled deadman casket maker crap….I get the new concept but god damn he beat it into the fuckin ground with that album. Still luv the guy! Stoked for the Trple Threat album.
Young Wicked – I thought Slaughter was killer. Have not heard that new one yet….
Not really excited:
Out of these 3 dudes I’d prolly check out Dox before anyone….and that’s a stretch. That G Mo dude is just painfully wack to me, there’s no fuckin way I could get through an entire album listening to that dudes voice and lycirs…
Boondox – meh
G-Mo Skee – 0/10
The ROC – Killusion nailed it RIGHT on the head. I feel the exact same way, when the ROC raps he just seems………off.
Edit: And I hate those stupid fuckin winter hats he wears! haha god…..fuck that guy! ![]()

Really Excited:
-none-
Cautiously/Mildly Excited:
Young Wicked (I anticipate a full blown panic attack with intermittent bouts of snotty sobfests… also can’t wait to hear his new recipe for Otis Spongecake.)
Not Really Excited:
Boondox, Blaze, Twiztid, The ROC, Triple Threat.
Haven’t Given the Time of Day To:
Gorilla Voltage, G-Mo, Lex, AMB, Bonez.
G-Mo. I listened to that track and watched the video (you know, the one with throwing the GameCube off the roof or something)… I really enjoyed it the first time for its simplease beat and different direction from the usual Twiztid crew.
Then, weeks later, I played it again. Then, I grew up. Right then and there. This guy is a fucking goddamned goofball. That skin coat shit? He comes across as Brotha Lynch Hung’s embarrassing nephew. The one that emulates his uncle aND tries to be funny and interesting at the family barbecue. He acts like he eats his own boogers.

SUPER DOOPER FUCKIN MEGA SHIT EXCITED….
Lex the Hex Master, Twiztid, G-Mo Skee, Triple Threat (Blaze, but other than triple threat, does he have anything to be excited about this year? idk)
^10/10. G-Mo is the muthafuckin shit. Lex the Hex is dope as fuck.
PRETTY FUCKING EXCITED….
Gorilla Voltage, Boondox, The R.O.C., AMB (YW and Bonez)
^ 8.5/10
NOT 100% CONVINCED….
Zodiac Mprint
(i’ve heard very little, and i havent jammed to that shit since)

Really Excited:
Boondox, G-Mo Skee.
Boondox is one of my favs, and G-Mo’s album is killer, I want more of that.
Cautiously/Mildly Excited:
Twiztid, Triple Threat, Zodiac Mprint, Lex, AMB
The Darkness wasn’t their best, so I am hopeful they’re closer to Abominationz level. Triple Threat can swing both ways, can be epic, can be disappointing. The Zodiac Mprint EP had some solid songs, so this can be good. Lex EPs were good, his album was just more of the same. AMB’s last album was great, but YW last EP makes me doubt they can reach the same or better quality.
Not really excited:
Blaze, Gorilla Voltage, Young Wicked, ROC
Blaze’s solo efforts have never really got me excited. The Gorilla Voltage I’ve heard is not for me. Young Wickeds EP was just meh. ROC’s solo stuff just doesn’t do it.

Really excited:
Lex the hex master. Besides the bad first impression of him not knowing the wicked shit at all before signing to mne, then having a name that alluded to a gimmick so similar to big hoodoo, dude has crushed it on everything I have heard. I fuck with him.
Cautiously excited:
Guerrilla Spunk or whatever. Don’t know nothing about them. Could go either way.
Not that excited for:
I’m enjoying the twiztid singles but haven’t really liked twiztid in like 10+ years so i dunno if I’ll like the full album or not. Probably not.
0% excited for:
Everybody else. I have no desire to listen to whack ass g mo skee. And I’m sure the best is behind people like boondox, blaze, roc. And as for young wicked? Meh. Who even gives a shit.

Twiztid
YW
Boondox
Gmo
Blaze
Lex
ROC
I dont feel its fair to rank gorilla voltage based off of a couple songs
The new Lex and Gmo albums are fucking amazing. Gmos is actually my favorite mne has put out so far.
YW goes hard as fuck on the new EP. His growth has been fucking substantial. Throw on bloodbath in your ride and let the bass rattle your balls.
That’s the last thing I wanna mention. I love the beat selection on all the albums so far. Never was a huge blaze mark but the beats for his last album really made him shine. MNE is fucking killing it right now. ROC is the only one i dont listen to. Just dont like his flow, nothing personal.

For me its:
Twiztid
Lex – Corny name imo. But hes a beast…
YW – Didnt start listening to him until I heard Slaughter, but really like that album and the new EP…
Blaze – I love Blaze, but his last few albums havent been that great imo…
As for the rest of MNE I dont listen to them. Zodiac was ok, but never could get into ROC. Same with Boondox. Couldnt get into G Mo either. These new guys sounded ok in the 2 tracks they released, but it didnt catch my ear enough to make me wanna hear it again…

people. i rate people based on not rap.
‘i hate the way that guy does me and mine.’
‘but he drives a cab. in fact, hes a helluva cab driver. you gotta rate him based on that.’
‘okay. i hate the way that cab driver does me and mine.’
one dont become awesome just cuz they got a good job. nor cuz they are good at their good job.
one is awesome, because they do awesome shit. or leastwise, the non-awesome shit they do is buried by the awesome shit.
majik ninjas ratio of awesome to non-awesome has dropped to below one, for me. and i cant pin it on anybody specific, since they stand together as a label. so they can eat pills as a label, too.
rap-only rating was provided beforehand: lex. followed distantly by basicly everyone else.
its directly above the part you quoted.

I’m wikkid excited for G-mo, I’ve supported him in some sense since 2014 but didn’t really get into his music until last year
I’m kinda excited for Gorilla Voltage, I like what I’ve heard from them
I know I’m gonna like Continuous Evilutions but I’m not exactly hyped for it
Blaze I’m even less excited for but I bet I’ll like what he puts out, it just took me way too long to get into Blaze
I want to like Lex, and I do in small doses but something about his voice just doesn’t click with me 100% but I’m probably gonna listen to his new album and maybe I really will like it
The ROC is someone I barely listen to
and the Vengeance EP was the first thing I really liked from YW so if he continues in that style I may like him a lot more
and Boondox I’m 50/50 on.

Really Excited: Lex & Twiztid
– Lex had album of the year imo and having someone on MNE from Queens just feeds my NYC bias.
– Twiztid I’m always looking forward to and can’t wait to hear the new album next week.
Cautiously Excited: G-MO, ROC & Guerrilla Voltage
– I really dig G-MO, but thought his debut LP was a flop.
– ROC I’m pumped for because when the hell did we last get a ROC LP?
– Guerrilla Voltage because I definitely liked what I heard, but will be cautious to listen to their debut before I purchase. Their type of music I can bump for a month or so, but it usually doesn’t have staying power. Hoping they’re different but time will tell.
Not That Excited For: Blaze & YW
– Blaze has definitely seen his better days in my eyes. To me, I just always expect to see him hanging around. I’ll bump his older shit from time to time, but he’s just “meh”.
– YW because of the latest happenings.
0%: Boondox
– Ya, Boondox sucks ass… Should have at least gone with a new approach (ie Turncoat Dirty)

I’m always excited for new Twiztid songs, even though I can totally understand scruffy’s point.
Besides that.. can anyone name, lets say, three “awesome” songs by Boondox? I ever wondered why people like hime, it didnt matter to me like at all, when he jumped ship. Only song I like is “Monster” and this is mainly because of the chorus/sample by Meg & Dia.

Some of my favorites are his more novelty tracks. Here’s some thst I recall overall:
Heathen
Sippin’
My Van
Death of a Hater
Abaddon
I also liked Monster but it’s true: almost anyone could’ve rapped with that sample and beat and it would sound decent.

and i’m not very familiar with GV or Boondox and I only like YW from Killjoy Club from what I’ve heard. can’t really rank these guys yet. when Boondox drops i’ll probably check it out and revisit his old discography at the same time
boondox has a couple good songs, even tho his image is not for me. and by good songs i mean great songs cuz i didnt think i would ever like a “boondox” song.
he fucking killed shit on psychopathic rydas: Duk Da Fuk Down, seriously his flow and delivery and lyrics were fucking fire on that album…everyone brought their A-game on that album

I went and looked at his tracklisting again, and surprisingly, I like more of his songs than I remember. He is really pretty good overall.
I remember getting South of Hell, however. I only truly remember two songs, Lezbehonest and Toast 2 The Fam. They weren’t bad.
Really that’s all that made an impression on me.
Abaddon was pretty excellent. Great emotion on that one. I like that track with the guy from Vilebillies.

i pretty much like his sex and drinking songs…but rydas shows his potential
as for abaddon, i dont member it, either i never got to it or nothing stood out for me…i’ll have to run that back.
but lezbehonest and my lil freak bitch and that jugs song off of south of hell are fucking great.
some “boondox” themed songs were ok for me, but nothing i can name off the top of my head
i guess being intoxicated is blocking my memory at the moment, and making me too lazy to google real quick
