Okay this doesn't have much to do with mne aside from the fact the sitting here thinking of the 420 show made me think of it. When I go to concerts I get to the venue fucking HOURS early. For example I got to the crofoot at 11am with my homies for twiztid. We do it for one reason, to get to the barricade when doors open. So then a bunch of fuck wads show up with their press pass walks in the area between the barricade and stage to take their stupid fucking pictures meanwhile standing right in front of me blocking my view. This may seem pretty but come on man it's like standing right in front of someone at the movie theater. I didn't show up early and pay all this money to stare at the back of your head. If you wanna take pictures fine just don't stand right in front of me while you do it. And yes I emptied my water bottle on your cameras on purpose so you would move.

problem solved.

or, employ the wonka method.  should work.

or, just stiffly tap em on the back of the head, give them a serious look, and say, 'move'

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

Wtf u show up that early and go str8 to da front and watch all the openers witout pissin or gettin a cold beverage. Whut i do is wait till the act b4 the main act leaves, have a cig and get up close b4 every1 finishes their smoke. Once they hit the stage i get amped and sorta start a mosh pit, next thing i know im right up front, able to steal the artist shoe laces. Usually by the 3rd or 4th song peeps start leavin the front cuz its too much and spaces open up. To bad i couldnt show u the way in person. All my friends stick to me and i get them the best spots of the show. I know some hate me cuz im 6'6" chillin in da front but fuck get kneegrow plasty. Thats a south park reference fyi.

Rite havin a crowdsurfer dropped on ur head prolly sux.2nd or 3rd from the barricade is usually the best, u get to feel the vibe of the crowd better and maybe even help a falling ninja in the mosh pit  or get tossed either way its pandemonium and i love it

18-years-down your probably one of the people that gets pissed at me for getting on the barricade right before the headliner while you were sitting there all night being uncomfortable  while watching all those shitty openers.  Also is having someone in front of you for 3 songs that bad that you have to be an asshole and fuck up thier equipment. Also the acts are usually on a stage that is 4 feet high so they are only blocking the view of thier knees and below so quit your bitching and stop fucking up peoples expensive equipment because they are blocking some guys knees for 3 songs asshole.

Ya, damn those photographers for doing their jobs. Maybe that guys who runs this site and supports this site by being up front to take pictures should call it quits to not offend ninjas who get to a twitztid show 12hrs before it starts.

Who the fuck gets to a twiztid show at 11AM? Who has ever had a problem just making their way to the front of the barricade during a twiztid show? It's not like we're talking about the chili peppers at Woodstock 99 or something...

You could bitch about it, or you could get yourself a free nice camera.

many times, ive wondered how scottie deals with this sorta thing.

in fact...  @scottied - when someone at a barricade is givin you shit about bein in front of him, how do you deal with it?  i imagine the answer to be, 'with wit, style, and grace'...  but i wouldnt be surprised if you had spit a lil venom, now and then.

Who the fuck gets to a twiztid show at 11AM?

18 years, it would appear.

18 years, it would appear.  i sure havent.

It's not like we're talking about the chili peppers at Woodstock 99 or something...

did they have a system, or sumn?

seems like the average chili pepper fan wouldnt be any harder to displace than the average juggalo.

Na, just referencing to the fact that there was a million people there. What's the max to ever be at a twiztid show? 1000?

I've never had a problem getting to the front. I usually chill in the bar until the main act comes on the squeeze way up there.

From what I've witnessed Scottie has a GoPro strapped to his head while Mrs. Scottie handles the fancy camera.

It's mixed. Scottie shoots a bunch of the shows too.

So, in a nut shell....If he/she was standing somewhere besides in front of you...you'd have no problem.

And yes I emptied my water bottle on your cameras on purpose so you would move.

This is just childish. I'd watch it with acting this way...someone is bound to react to your actions. It seems you were more worried about the photographer than the show.

This. We (i say it like that, because I'm one of those photographers you hate) are only up in front for the first three songs and then we move along. Most of the time the artist is just getting warmed up by the time we leave the photo pit.

Speaking for myself...as long there is room I'm always moving from one side of the stage to the other..so i'm not blocking one persons view for to long. I also tend to duck to avoid messing with people recording with there cell phones. Which I have been thanked for.

Seriously, though is having someone up front for three songs that big of a deal?

Shit, I was upfront for almost all of ICP's "The Marvelous Missing Link" tour and no one cared....we (me, the crowd, the artists) were all just enjoying the show.

18-years-down I guess I am too nice about shit.  I do mix it up between gopro, Periscope, and shooting still photography if my wife or another person better suited than me is there to handle those duties.  Seriously though, in a 20+ song set, you get mad at someone for occasionally blocking your view for the first 3 songs?  Get the fuck outta here!

You obviously have a serious chip on your shoulder. At just about every show that I've shot, we are herded out for the remainder of the set after 3 songs.  I'm not sure how other photographers are, but I know that if I get to be stationary in a spot for more than a minute or two, I'll turn around and ask the people I'm in front of if they're good/can see.  That's usually appreciated on their end.  I crouch down if I don't have a good angle too if the pit is too crowded.

But again, if you can't handle a minor inconvenience (if you want to call it that) for 3 songs, then I don't even want to know what you think when someone accidentally bumps into you in the pit.

If you intentionally dumped water on a camera, then that's a 100% douche move.  I'm as much of a pacifist as you'll find, but if you did that to mine, then there'd be problems.

Try not to take life so serious, dude.  You're at a concert for fuck's sake.  Have FUN!

Not sure but my wife's camera cost more then 4 VIP passes so... The water bottle thing seems extreme.

Personally I would maybe ask them to kinda side step and not do it right in front of me. I just don't think property destruction is the solution. Like Scottie said I am pretty mellow but if you attempted to destroy something of mine over something so petty there might be issues.
