Didn’t see a thread for this yet so I figured I’d start one…

I’ll come right out and say I was pretty let down by this record. It’s kinda trash actually IMO. After first seeing the music video for “G” I was hyped beyond belief. I wrongly assumed that the whole album was just gonna be raw, in your face, bangers like that. This was before I had discovered the dopeness that is Lex the Hex Master really and thought G-MO was going to be “that new thing” that MNE really needed.

What I found was an album that was a chore to listen to. The majority of the tracks are very monotonous and you can tell he’s more concerned about getting some “edgy” one-liners in than with forming any type of a smooth flow.

Now, I never really listened to him before so maybe this is his style and I was just mislead. The few tracks that did standout to me were:

– Sawed Off

– G

– Filthnificient

– Unfeigned

– When Worlds Collide (Mainly because of that new D12)

In any event, I do want to check him out live (which should be at one of Twiztid’s V-day shows in Feb.) and I’ll give his next project a shot. Definitely skeptical now though…

What do the juggalos think?

I really liked what I found on youtube before his album dropped. I fucking LOVE “Ignant”. the beat is wicked and lyrics too. Also Sabatage, Nigga Hush and a few on the Android EP.

I was really hoping the album would be a whole album of tracks like Ignant. He suits the darker beats and sound and voice better with some of the anger and bite from Ignant.

However FSB (Filthy Spirit Bomb) was very similar to the Android. No real consistant sound or flow of beats they all different which is cool but sound more like a mix tape.

Still though I really like G Mo and all his releases I was just expecting it to blow me away track after a track. Still wicked album and very fresh to have him in the Juggalo scene cos he is different to everyone else and I listening to him waaaaaaaayyy more than Twiztid and anyone else on MNE.

Best tracks on FSB:

– Slide

– Sawed Off

– So It Was Written

– I’m already Dead

– Am I crazy

– Filthy Spirit Bomb

So Yeah I do like him was just expecting a way better album but that is because my expectations so high, it’s still one of the best hip hop releases in 2016 imo. I was just oping for a whole album of bangers and sick fucks but then who ever releases a full album of wicked tracks? ICP not done it since the 90’s

This album is fire…

Colorful sick & twisted shit.

Could be the best album MNE dropped all year… IMO

This is exactly what I expected after listening to G. Imo he is mne’s weakest link.

If you really believed that all lives matter we wouldn't need to say black lives matter

Solid album, not so fond of the inf gang features other than that it’s dope top to bottom. This and Lex’s contact really surprised me how good the were.

Yeah….I’m just gonna soar right over this release.  Not even gonna bother to download or listen on the YouTubage.

G-MO just does absolutely nothing for me…..

Best album mne has released so far without question for me. My opinion is pretty much the opposite of the OP’s in that I thought lex’s album was more of a letdown. The only thing I’ll say is lex’s lyrics may be a bit deeper but I’m not a fan of his flow or beats. Then again I grew up with the west coast hip hop sound and could never even remotely get into the new York, east coast sound.

Yep, I can’t get into west coast rap at all lol. With the exception of some dre/snoop and older game. Living an hr outside of nyc may have something to do with that…

East Coast beats/sound for me all day, that gritty sound is what I gravitate towards.

However, I’m down as FUCK on some Celly Cel!  haha
