1.) transformation of a civilization – Beat is dope but they put a lower pitch vocal effect riding the main verse voice, not liking that at all. totally ruined the song
2.) get off me dog – too fast, this beat doesn’t fit the song at all. quality of vocals is very good as expected but yeah I prefer the original. the beat is like some moshpit type shit I guess.
3.) stardust – this beat is super dope. easily vibing to this, better than the OG IMO. Hook is slowed down with some sick drums, really great remix
4.) Familiar – Loved this version, better than the original as well, added a completely new fresh look of the song
5.) Madness – beginning of the beat is kinda wack, but when the chorus kicks in, the song is completely better. decent song.
6.) Fuck u part 2 – beat builds up great to this song, not really replayable but it’s decent
7.) Jenny’s a fat bitch – same skit just remastered
8.) Fantasy – this reminds me of some old school twiztid stuff, beat went great and the fast hi hats went perfect with it. loving the sounds DEFINITELY better than the original, it’s slowed down.
9.) Who Am I – This was one of my favorite songs on the original cd, really really love this version. The mixing is dope and the beat is just insane. It’s a toss up because I can listen to both versions, this one is really different though from the OG (slowed down also) Would love to see this live
10.) Truth will set you free – Skipped it on the original disc, beat is better than the OG but i’ll def be skipping this one.
11.) respirator – better than the original – like the version of this one also. great remix
12.) Tripe Threat – OG is better
13.) Starve your fear – Skip
14.) Manikin – Beat is definitely 100x better than the original I hated this song but I dig this
15.) Note to self – I was hoping they’d keep this one slow but they made it faster tempo but this is pretty dope. Not bad at all
Overall: Mixing/Mastering was on point except for that shitty vocal effect they did on the first song – Some songs lacked though, messing with the tempo is really what caused it I would say if you’re a huge fan of guitars this album is for you but it’s got a mixture of guitars / and 808 rap beats, which i’m guessing seven did some of the production i’ll give the album a 6/10. Had they taken the songs I don’t like on here and just used the original beats / acapellas on the original cd but remastered them this album would be great. Worth a listen or so. Probably just take the songs I like off the cd and recycle bin the rest.

I enjoyed listening to it. Nice to hear a fresh take on this album.Shit knocks. The Bass and the Guitars sound Tight… Only bummer for me was that they Sped up Note to Self.
I find it funny that ever since madrox and blaze lost weight they feel like they are choppers like tech. IMO its taking away from their talent and now they have no punches in their music. They spend so much time on the treadmill that once they get off they feel da need to keep up their pace when they talk. Cocaine is one hell of a drug.

I remember seeing some dude post this here a few weeks ago and I thought it was the remix version. Turns out it’s slightly different.

I have no idea who the DJ is and I registered just to show this love. Anyone know the source? Did they release DJ kits early or something?

I like in ur Review that u didnt rate every Track with a number.Just broke down the song and wat u thought about it….always bugs the shit outta me wen people do that
I tried to just be honest with it.. i’m not great with reviews but I just wanted to give my take on the album. Some tracks just completely don’t fit with what they were aiming with and other tracks were amazing. It was a half assed release IMO.

just finished playing it through on my way home…somewhere between what i expected & maybe a little better. rebeck mastering is always a huge positive whatever the project is & seven handling the production across the whole project is a huge positive as well.still not entirely sure why mutant vol.2 from 2005 needed to be rereleased 11 years later over new beats, but i enjoyed it for what it is.
pretty much, the standout tracks from the original album got even stronger-familiar, the truth will set you free, respirator, starve your fear, note 2 self
and the mediocre tracks (stardust, jennys a fat bitch, triple threat, manakin) got a nice facelift

I have no idea if any of you will remember this at all as details will be fuzzy. But I remember back when Mutant first came out, somehow recordings of Get Off Of Me and a couple others (maybe We Don’t Die from Freekshow too) ended up on Faygoluvers or maybe RealJuggalos of a rock band playing those songs. it had Twiztid’s vocals and it sounded like Twiztid actually had these guys in the studio and rumors were circulating that they were going to have a band play the songs live. I think it was even a band that was touring with them at the time. Anyway, if any if that rambling makes sense, anybody remember that shit or have those recordings? I remember liking that shit a lot as they really upped the rock level on those songs. I’ll try to do some googling around to figure out who the band was and all that shit.

I don’t hate Mutant or the Remix album, but I was disappointed when I first heard Mutant. When I learned they had a rock album I expected something heavier and darker like their previous rock songs. Something a little more NIN or Manson sounding, but Mutant was more alternative rock or almost a pop punk album. I really would like to hear Twiztid do a rock album that’s much more grungy or heavy.
