Alright so I got a hold of The Dojo 7" thats going to be released on record store day and wanted to provide a small review.

The beat is excellent, very dark and instrumental, not a hip hop banger, classic Twiztid style.

Lex's verse is not great. More of the same. I'm finding that he has one style of rapping he will stick to.

R.O.C kills it. Great verse, really odd reference to my chemical romance. Lol

Madrox sounds drunk and is almost rapping the way he does when he is doing big stank or making fun of someone. Really disappointing.

Mono fucking brings the MF thunder

Blaze has a very solid contribution.

Chorus is okay. Something like " get wild, get drunk, get ignorant". Honestly pretty forgettable standard chorus.

If you are collecting the twiz vinyls you will love this but those without turntables don't feel too bad. The song is pretty good but if I never heard it I would not be too upset.

Yea i'm starting to think madrox is turning into an alcoholic. I remember an interview years ago he was talking about a bunch of different shots and back in the day twiztid only really talked about smoking.

Yea I knew he now prefers booze over buds, which is fine but I don't want a drunk madrox in the studio all the time. The only other song that sounds like he is drunk is the feed the beast vip single. His verse is one big slur through some of it. Maybe when its obvious he is drunk it becomes a rare single? lol

Madrox didn't suck, his verse is dope as shit but it could do with an alternate take. He was for sure slurring on that track, you are right he may be drunk on that one too.

Honestly it kinda works for the tone of the song. Chorus is fucking incredible

They have two complete different flows. Madrox's flow should have been way slower. the lyrics I didn't mind one bit, it was the way it was presented. I'm beginning to think that Madrox is just drinking and recording now a days. Shame too considering how much talent these guys truly have. Madrox has been doing this fast rap off an on for years now, people got sick of it before and now he's bringing it back. No thanks.

I thought the same thing, I read it like a the choruses from"Raw Shit" and "Ninjas" respectively.

I haven't heard the song so it's hard to make a justified opinion, but I find the idea of a group of 40+ men getting together to record a song where the chorus is about getting dumb, wild and ignorant is pretty funny. I know my ass isn't up for that shit and I'm only 30.

Not bad, I had it my head that it would sound a lot different. The chorus is still kinda dumb but not as obnoxious as I thought it was going to be, I thought it would be a gang vocal thing where they all did it together.

we use an audio technica at-lp120 and have a vintage sherwood s-7100a receiver, it's old and cheap as hell now but it sounds AMAZING
