lol, roc is nowhere near talented enough for you to make a “hater” claim… hes made one too many “experimental” albums, so ninjas are perfectly justified in questioning new roc releases..
someone tell ’em to get back to the retro horror flavor and stop with the shitty electronic music that makes generic dubstep sound great in comparison..

I agree with the sentiment in theory- but I would only do this literally for an HOK or less likely Halfbreed album.
Digital Voodoo is one of a small handful of releases I’m sleeping on this year. It’s not that I don’t believe in his talent or the MNE Production skillz (although I will say his earlier solo work suffers heavily from consistency issues), but when a project is delayed this long the end result is almost certainly going to a mess to say the least. Two words: Chinese Democracy.
The album is packed dick to tits with collabs, more so than any other MNE release I think. This shows that even MNE aren’t confident that he can carry an LP on his own- he’s always paired off with somebody (Level Jumpers, Zodiac, etc). This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and enticing enough that I know I’m gonna listen to it, but doing things that way can make an album come off like a mixtape rather than a highly anticipated solo release.
Thing is, I’ve waited this long and now I’m in no rush. If this was 2010 I’d be jocking this so hard.

I know it’s hard to tell between these experimental avante-gard hipster artists and just flat out terrible music, but I assure you R.O.C. just puts out terrible music.

I see. Yea that EP really wasn’t very good. The version of the Zodiac Mprint EP that was produced by R.O.C. had some pretty dope beats on it though. Into The Cosmos and What’s Yo Sign are just amazing, imo.
