Even monoxide mentioned in the wake and bake or what ever that show is called the episode when they are shitting on the march and what not “there is no list”, that alot of the stops on the mosttasteless tour have had small turn outs he tried to justify it by saying not many of their fans no mosttasteless something to that extent.

That could be true. Twiztid are definitely expanding their fan base outside of the juggalo world so newcomers very well may not be familiar with their earlier work. Still not really a valid reason for the low attendance.

My best guess is, people are just tightening up their wallets. There have been a lot of fuckin happenings event wise this year to attend with more to come. I know I’ve been picking and choosing which to go to and which to sit out.

Until Twiztid says “fuck juggalos”, I’m not buyin that the reason for low numbers at shows is due to ninjas that were once down now sayin “fuck twiztid”. That’s like when ICP said they lost half their fans after the released Shangri-La and everyone heard Thy Unveiling. That’s just nonsense.

ima stipulate that ‘our fans dont know mostasteless’ is a much more ridiculous reasoning than ‘our fans arent showin up’.

for that matter, much more ridiculous than the ‘our fans are sayin fuck twiztid’ thing.

yeah, sure.

show me the kid whos sittin at home, sayin they would have gone to the twiztid show… but they didnt… but it was only because they dont know mostasteless.

if that kid is the kinda fan that twiztid is workin for, then they are so very far gone from the juggalos.  theres about eleven juggalos that dont know mostasteless.

V ron pointed out to me that they’ve been doing a lot more touring lately and that they hit LA shortly after the attack of the ninjas thing. It kinda made sense that turn out would be lower than icp, at least out here. Milenko tour + it’s been a minute + gathering was a few months ago > mostasteless + they just did a tour a few months ago + roughly two weeks prior was their fest

Plus, milenko was like a week later so some people had to choose.

I dunno about that.  I can’t quote much of COC even though that was a debut album.  “Bitch you’z a hoe, and hoe you’z a bitch?”  That’s all that comes to my mind at this particular moment.  Oh, And Kid Rock starts his verse with “boo hoo.”

there is a grand expanse of distance between carnival and mostasteless.

mostasteless is required reading.  coc is if-youd-like-to-know-more.

im sure plenty will disagree with me, but those will mostly be people who think that carnival is a good album.

I agree with you about Mostasteless and think COC is awesome. So there’s our types out there also…

“Required reading” was a good way to put it.

thinkin on it a lil more, im actually leanin a tad the other way.  i dunno what the demographics of twiztids fanbase are like these days, aint been runnin many surveys.  but i spose theres probably a growing chunk of newer fans that really dont know or care about them old days.  which i guess i can understand.

what gets me about that excuse, though, and part of why i dont wanna believe it, is that its tantamount to declaring, ‘people who know mostasteless are not our fans’.

thats a heavy pill.

I guess what I’m saying is that if people came into the scene during The Wraith era (which a lot of people did), the current albums at the time would have been Green Book and Freekshow.  So it’s possible that you could have missed Mostasteless.  Twiztid was not popular when Mostastelss was the current album.  I suppose I could have worded that better.

id suspect that any juggalo, at roughly around that time, who missed mostasteless, missed it because they tried to.  aint like icp had the only backlog to dive into.

they were popular when mostasteless was current.  less popular, sure, but they got mad love.

they just werent makin as much money off it, is all.

of course, all this is spec predicated on a paraphrasing from an internet video babble blog that i dont watch.  so.

I was trying to think of any artists whom I jumped into after their debut… I started ICP at Riddlebox. Would fans back then claim I wasn’t down cus I didn’t start at Beverly Kills?

Would fans of Pantera claim i was a nutrider because I started at Vulgar Display of Power and not Cowboys From He’ll? Or Power Metal, even?

I remember this kid in NC started ICP at Shangri La but wouldn’t listen to Hell’s Pit. Mostly because of religious ideation. What a weirdo.

I’d say 2nd Hand Smoke, Diemuthafuckadie, Rock the Dead, Renditions of Reality, How Does it Feel…. are so essential to understanding those guys that yes, it is required reading like Scruffya said.

there it is.

they chose to do mostasteless, and not, say, the continually baffling album title [?] album, for a reason.

and that reason is not ‘because our fans dont know it’.

Last Twiztid show I went to there was a pretty big turnout. Then again it was 2 years ago. I came back home to NC for my birthday a few months back and was fortunate enough to catch Tech and Lynch for whatever that last tour was. He sold that bitch out.

Interestingly enough when I first got into all this juggalo shit, I wasn’t tha biggest fan of “the classics”. In fact, I’m still kinda not. If I went tha rest of my life without hearing We Don’t Die or Chicken Huntin I wouldn’t be that bummed.

Imo they should have toured TCEOL? Not the album front to back, but I feel they should be highlighting their newer stuff more on tour.

I thought about checking out the Mostasteless tour when they came to Columbus but thought better of it. OG Mostasteless was and will forever be my shit, but Twiztid live nowadays is just not amusing. Jaime dances around like Rosie Perez on Soul Train and Mono just stands there yodelling each verse. Shit just wasn’t worth the ticket price to me.

That’s just the thing, they don’t have enough good shit  to do shows with all new songs. Catch a young wicked set lol, it’s still usually 60% killjoy.

The newer shit sucks that’s why. I’m ICP all day long. And Fuck MNE since the beef. That being said I think a few of the new songs are tight. Down with us is dope, kill somebody is dope. But other new shit is weak.
