It's just a racist stereotype etc. No real pimp dresses like that....
It's only racist to people who are racist. People who don't see race in other humans don't have a problem with anything like that. It's a non-issue.

People who refuse to acknowledge that race is a real and complicated issue are racist. Being "colorblind" is racist because it ignores the real struggles of people of color in order to make white people feel like they aren't part of systemic oppression of people of color. Acknowledging race =/= seeing only race. Claiming to ignore race is willfully and deliberately denying the existence of racism.

Snoop isn't dressed quite like the picture i included. The picture i used was a racist approximation of what snoop is dressed like more or less. But also snoop is a wealthy man who works as a performer not a pimp.

In the link I provided above Snoop says different:
"When Snoop Dogg called himself a "pimp" back in 2003, he wasn't joking. (Quoting Snoop:) "I put an organization together... I did a Playboy tour, and I had a bus follow me with ten bitches on it. I could fire a bitch, fuck a bitch, get a new ho: It was my program. City to city, titty to titty, hotel room to hotel room, athlete to athlete, entertainer to entertainer... A lot of athletes bought pussy from me.""

Oh and that pic would be considered perhaps racially insensitive. Not really even that though. Perhaps If it was a white dude in black face dressed like a pimp, that would be insensitive.....and really fucking funny

Since I have a mutt family and a biracial brother I could choose to go down that hole, but I don't see strength in cultivating victimization or blame. Maybe this will clear some of the hippies out of this thread (and hopefully it won't take a giant asteroid hitting this planet to get people to work together):

Maybe misplaced anger i dunno.i doubt thats nust me not being able to understand someone elses opinion and trying to make ip excusses. Its just what i think.

This is so fucken true. Not for everyone but true. This is real people they think this. Ibut its hard for me because i too see my self as " colorblind". Im into culture. Not skin color. But i respect the fact that if someone says they in a race. I acknowledge what ever they are or say they are. This took me a while to realy understand where i stand on this. But im over talking about it now.

Maybe this will clarify. I'm just a human being and won't apologize for that. Race is all fun and games until someone needs a kidney (just what I've experienced.) Speaking of distortion, your spell check seems fucked (or maybe ur on one hell of a bender?) Here's something shiny for the hippies:

I am not saying I am "color-blind". I do understand that there is racial discrimination. I am not blind to it. I am still never going to look at a another human being and see them as part of a race. They may choose to do that themselves, but I cannot, and will not.
Opponents of "color-blind" practices believe that racism and white privilege remain defining features of American society and that "color-blindness" simply allows whites to ignore the disadvantages of the non-white population. But that is not what I am doing. Not color-blind... just non-supportive of any racial privilege. I tend to follow Martin Luther King Jr's idea and support Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas idea with regards to being non-racial.
Martin Luther King, Jr.'s central hope was that people would someday be judged by "the content of their character" rather than "the color of their skin". I support this and will see people by "the content of their character".
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas supports non-racial policies. He believes the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment forbids consideration of race... He believes that race-oriented programs create "a cult of victimization". Again I agree.
I understand that there is racial bias in this country and that some have benefitted from it and some have suffered. I choose to not contribute to further racial bias by seeing people as humans and that's it.

I am not seeing how I am racist for not letting race be a personal part of any of my decision making processes. I am not ignoring racism. I am not going to further contribute to it. People can think beyond the little bubble that the media tells them to they have to think in. Just because some people who claim "color-blind" contribute to racism doesn't mean that people who choose to not contribute to racial bias are racist also.
Maybe I am just not intelligent enough to understand the activist mentality. It seems to be more harmful than beneficial to me. But what do I know? I am just a racist bigot who chooses to treat people as people and not let their race, creed, gender or any other pigeon hole they may want to see themselves in play a part in the equality I see in them.
