Listening to the new newly released Last Amercian Rock Star’s full album and it’s surprisingly good. Better than that mixtape by a long shot.
I got a new pair of beats headphones and wanted to try em out. Started with the Year of the Sword compilation which I had yet to listen to, but quickly realized that was pretty lame. This LARS shit though goes in.
Bizarre has some of the more decent bars I’ve ever heard from him. Gordy holds it down as usual, but without much of the over the top horrorcore shit which really turned me away from him in the past. I dug pretty much every track with the following as the standouts:
Stomp
Cocaine in Miami
Rock n Roll
No Lights
Start a War (this one is ridiculous)
Honestly, I’m really surprised. This is actually a solid fuckin record. I’m a fan.

@Carnivalkilla44 Well, that changed rather quickly. May have to look further into them. Thanks homie. Which Beats did you get? I went batty one day and bought the professionals, not feeling too good about them. Maybe its my 15yr old ipod that i dropped in the toilet thats giving them a shitty sound.

Damn the internet with post history, lol. Didn’t buy the record, listened to on Tidal after watching Mono talk it up in that Astronomicon panel. It’s a good record man and that’s coming from a big skeptic of the group.
The misses got me the beats solo 3’s. Been wanting a pair for years, but never spent the $ myself. They’re fresh for sheezy.

LOL beats are over priced good headphones being sold as great headphones. Just get a pair of good SkullCrushers. Or some Audio Technicas because those are the greats.
Unless they actually updated the quality after being sold but I doubt they did. Like, why would they put forth money to provide the quality you’re paying for when they can sell you cheaper quality for the same high price with name’s sake?
Personally, I use my AKG K240s a lot at home, but those are studio quality and not really recommendable for leisurely use.

Best headphones i believe i had was sony $40 from walmart. Bass boost and noise cancellation. Downside was they were cheaply assembled and broke at the ear piece.

It all depends on what you want, really. I prefer more crisp and clear sounding headphones which is what most people want. But a lot of people prefer bassy ass headphones.

I really dig that “get out the county” joint. It has this old mid 90’s vibe and makes you wanna headbutt someones face.
But yeah I agree, I was FUCKIN surprised how good this was…went into it not expecting much at all. Had a little road trip and thought Id put this new shit on. And BOOM! head noddin the whole way…great job Biz and Gordy! 8.5/10

Loved the album. I like Gordy and Bizarre anyways so I was already looking forward to it. And I thought the mixtape was great too.
Now this might be an unpopular opinion, but I think it is the best MNE release so far. I thought most MNE releases were rather mediocre so far. To me, G-Mo’s album was the best by far until now (shame he turned out to be such an unlikable douchebag). Other than that, Lex has some good shit and the R.O.C. version of the Zodiac Mprint EP really impressed me. (Many praised the Gorilla Voltage album, but I just can’t get into them. Only MNE act I don’t like. Mr. Grey has a boring flow to me and ClockworC always sounds the same with that forced “Imma get HYPED UP HABABABABA BAA BAAA, HABA HABBAAA”. Not for me.)
But man this LARS album is dope. I’m digging how each song seems to have a different style from the others, but the album still has a continuous vibe to it.

Co-Sign the fuck outta this. Exactly how I feel too, I was one of those people that hyped up GV, and that album fuckin sucked after more more spins. ZERO replay value, and after hearing them on that Year of the sword album, it made me dislike them even more. they seem like cool dudes, but hard pass on anymore music. I can get down with some Lex fa sho, I hope gmo gets hit by a fuckin bus. Unlikable douchbag is about as light as ill go…..his face pisses me off.

Where do you see any racism? yes I want Gmo to get hit by a BUS, and calling him an unlikable douchbag is about as light/soft as I’d go in on him. He’s just one of those dudes that rubs me the wrong way. Zero racist in me my guy.
You can even ask my black wife and my interracial son. My wife is super hot by the way…

Well it honestly started with the J diss. It wasn’t the fact THAT he dissed J, but the context around it. As an analogy: say you have a new buddy. And you know that guy has some deep running issues with his older brother. Now, that guy invites you over to have dinner with his family. Then him and his brother start fighting about shit. In that situation, you wouldn’t jump in and attack his brother, right? Because you know that their problems run deeper than your relationship to your new buddy.
I think that was poor judgment but it was still like whatever. Shouldn’t have done that, but it’s hip hop and all that shit. But then he called J’s fanbase toothless inbreeds (or something along those lines). To me that showed what he truly thinks about Juggalos (cuz who else is “J’s fanbase”?) or how stupid this guy is – probably both – because obviously there is still a huge overlap between Psy fans and MNE fans. So a big chunk of his fanbase is also J’s fanbase. Basically dissed his own fans. Smart guy.
But I still wasn’t at the point where I figured out how pathetic this guy really is. The thing that really bugged me was his response to Juggalos reactions to the diss. Alot of people wrote on his facebook wall. Some where like “fuck you!” (as you’d expect) but others tried to honestly explain to him why they thought he shouldn’t have gotten involved in this beef and how many Juggalos are hurt by the beef. And his response to all of them was “hahahahhaha! you are so mad, bro!”.. He’s the type of guy who is proud of being a troll. And who actually sees it as an accomplishment to annoy others. Just shows you how much attention he really needs from people. If he can’t have a positive influence on somebody else’s life, he’ll go negative, just as long as he feels that he’s relevant to other people. That’s pathetic.
And of course you can find it ridiculous that many Juggalos care so much about whether their favorite artists get along or not. But G-Mo signed with the guys who had a big hand in making this subculture about “family” and whatnot. You can’t just turn it on and off whenever it pleases you. Can’t go “we’re all family!” one day, and “it’s just about the music!” another day.
