No. No, I do not like that.
Man, that's three or four songs from them that have done nothing but confirm my fears. Every single artist on that label is interchangeable. There's little to no actual themes to their songs. It's just random bars with vague concepts attaching them together. It's almost like they don't want any of their artists/songs to stand out or something. Like this problem is so consistent that it has to be intentional, right?
King Gordy, whether you like him or not, is more than capable of standing out. Dude is really good at having the verse that you remember. But somehow, thus far, his verses sound like they could have been written for any other artist on the label and delivered in the exact same way.
I'll check back at some point when/if Gordy gets his shit together but I'll stick with his previous albums for now. I guess. Dammit.

I feel that, man. Especially leading up to it, Kevin Gilldy was on Twitter talkin' about "Don't worry about horrorcore. We got this. #LARS" ...And I didn't get any fucking horrorcore. That said, it was a mixtape, which is never usually a good benchmark to how the full album will be.
I still got hope.
