Anyone else here check it out? How did you guys like it?

Personally, I kinda hate it.

Not really sure why they decided to focus on the negative aspects of being high so often on this EP. Alot of mention of the paranoia you feel when smoking alone, I remember hearing Monoxide mention being stuck inside because of COVID19 & something about them all being packed in van like they were being sexually trafficked...not really the type of shit I like to think about when I'm smoking.

Musically it reminds me very much of the sound they were going for on that awful Trapped EP from the Gathering; a try-hard, corny attempt to sound like shitty mainstream trap music. (Twiztid is still better at it than the garbage on radio, but why bother with this sound?)

Honestly one of the worst Twiztid albums, and most likely THE worst smoker's album.

Still can't wait for Unlikely Prescriptions, The Demented Duo & THE MOTHERFUCKING HAUNTED RECORD! MZL Fam-i-ly!

Disagree with you this EP bumps. Beats are fire and they flow over the beats nicely.

This one's my favorite track from it, & the retro cover art looks like the poster I put in my old trap:

I wonder if the depressing tone of the EP in general has anything to do with covid? dudes are probably a little depressed with how the last year has gone same as everyone else; to think it'd have no effect on their music is just unrealistic.

They're throwing every style they can at the wall and seeing what sticks, and no one cares outside their fanbase

Pretty soon they'll form a group called Detroits Southwest Lovers and put their ugly ass faces on the album cover

You could very well be right,  but how many new listeners have discovered Twiztid and now realize they're Juggalos? Even if it's like four that's still dope.

If it's good it don't matter. If it's not well there's still their other shit.

This is like saying the sky is blue. Why would anyone outside of any fanbase be interested in what said artist releases?

Im not paying any attention to the new lady gaga and those lady gaga fans arent interested in the next ICP album.

I think this project fits their new sound pretty well. Ive really been feeling the style of their hip hop releases, recently. From Mad Season (and the singles that preceded it) through to this release (excluding the rock shit, which im not a fan of), I think the sound has been pretty consistent. You could even hear an early version of this sound on A New Nightmare but I think theyve made it their own recently. I think working with Young Wicked has given them some well needed inspiration when it comes to the instrumentals and song structure, that they were struggling to define with those previous MNE releases.

I mean how they're trying all these different styles and trying to cater to the warped tour crowd over the last few years

or..they just like experimenting with music? Twiztid has always been pretty experimental with their music. At least more so than most other rappers. I'd rather they try different shit and produce a few albums I don't really fuck with than have every album sound the same.

I dunno man, have you actually listened to Mad Season or Revelashen? I don't think that sound is directed at that crowd at all. I agree they're pandering to a certain demographic with the rock shit but the rap stuff has a sound of its own and I don't think the majority of the "warped tour crowd" would be into it.
