I just listened to their new EP and I had to come on here just to clarify: There’s no way that they actually took these four songs serious right? It sounds like they got drunk, spent $100 on soundclick beats and wrote the weirdest sounding shit they could think of. Or is it just me?

It’s a trap.
Ten bucks for four songs, that would be pretty steep even if they were songs in the same vein we’ve come to expect from Twiztid. But no, I’m pretty certain they did not take that EP seriously.

I still find it funny that people are actually taking this EP seriously.  If you do not get the joke, than I do not think there is any hope for you.  Its blatantly obvious that the whole release is a joke.  If you cannot hear that in the first song, then….smh.  Its a parody of what is popular right now in the mainstream

I was thrown off by it at first cause it wasn’t what I was expecting. I didn’t find it funny the first time and overall I still don’t find it laugh out loud funny. The only thing that made me laugh on the EP was Jaime’s line about “No privacy even when taking a shit? Even the toilet paper want to know how much paper we get!” Anyway it was something like that and for whatever reason it got stuck in my head for days! HA HA

during monday’s brunch and bake (live stream) monoxide said that they had 6 hours left in the studio after working on some twiztid shit. they just went and fucked around and made trapped. they said more than half the time they watch fans snaps/instagrams/etc people are listening to trap in the background and they find it funny. said it was all just having fun and obviously a joke.

i really don’t regret spending the $10 on it.

For the Trapped EP, think of it this way – Psychopathic Rydas, regarding them taking on the style and beats of other rap/hip hop tunes.  I do believe there was a Periscope that Paul did and stated how much he did not like trap music, etc, so with this album, its pretty much a mockery of trap music and how popular it has become in the mainstream arena.  Despite all of that, I got to say that they did nail the sound of most trap music and just how annoying it can be, in the track My Killa.  Heck, even Twiztid can create a mockery of a genre of music and do it better than other artists out there that do trap music, etc – they did it beautifully if you ask me

Hopefully next week, I will be able to pick a physical copy of this up, as well as, the other EP’s they had at the Gathering.  I just hope by the time I am able to grab them, next Thursday, that they will still be available at Twiztid Shop

I see nothing wrong with this EP. People need to stop being so close minded when artists try something different from what they’re use to. It’s not like Twiztid hasn’t experimented with modern music before. Even as a joke EP, I enjoyed every song from it.

Killjoy Club is trap music. 36 Mafia is trap. They never had a problem with trap until it became popular.

I do not get the hate for it either.  Its not like this is the style of music Twiztid will be doing from now on, etc.  Like some have said, besides me, I see this release as a Psychopathic Rydas release, etc but with just Twiztid.  Id much rather see an artist innovate with their sound and not just sit in the same sound – year after year after year, etc.
