The only reason I say this is because Odis’ verse on Vibe doesn’t mention Lex when he goes through the MNE roster. Also I remember a live stream a while back where Monoxide said something is holding Lex back (many thought it was the face paint). I don’t know am I being schizophrenic with jotting the dots together?

It’s all about sales. I think there’s a good possibility there will be a “trimming” of the MNE roster within the next 2 years. I imagine it will have the most to do with which artist is selling the best for them and which isn’t.
I would imagine that a lot of contracts would be up for renewal at about that time too.

monoxide’s latest stream sounded pretty optimistic about lex when he was asked about him, saying that lex has been watching and learning the business and we’re gonna be seeing a lot more of him coming soon… so i hope he’s not leaving, he might not be happy with his record sales, tho i don’t know the numbers but as far as juggalos go he seems to be really well received. i don’t think amb is leaving anytime soon, if anyone leaves my money’s on gorilla voltage only bc i haven’t been paying too much attention to them and i hate saying that bc they massive talent, what’s ya’ll thoughts on GV?

yeah i agree, not sure what label would be better for them, but at least they got some exposure here and maybe starting an indie would be good, idk if they’ve headlined a tour on mne yet and i haven’t seen them live so idk how the audience responds but they seem cool as fuck on the streams i’ve seen so i def wanna see them thrive bc they got the chops

MNE is not the label for them to reach their full potential.
It could be, but they need to send them out with other artists and market it as more of a rave rap type of music since they’re really good at that. If they could remain on MNE but go with someone like Hollywood Undead as an opener for a few, that would be good. That tour with Blaze was cool, but ultimately not helpful to their progression since they were an opening act to someone who appeals to a rather niche market. Don’t get me wrong, Blaze is dope. But having them open for a tour that he’s headlining isn’t going to really get their name out there much more than it already is.
Or even put them on the stage at the gathering as a feature slot at a reasonable time. Hint hint.

I can see GV going to a mainstream label because they’re pretty dope hip hop artists. Lex is a juggalo artist through and through and I would be down regardless of the circumstance. I can see G-mo and Lars doing a sub-label. Im glad this years release calendar has been light because YOTS was to much for my wallet.
