The beats are the only thing worth talking about on the lex EP, his choruses are repetitive and boring, his lyrics are contrived and dull, his flow is nonexistent

Just got that new Black Season EP.
My take?
It’s some good shit. I can say I like every song on that CD. (All 5 of them)
I like that it’s original sounding. Not all “Juggaloized” yet he still spits the wicked shit.
I don’t think his lyrics sound generic at all and to the people saying that, go back and give another listen.
Maybe on “Ninjas”.

That last song produced by Seven, The Outside, that’s the shit.

I like black season. Don’t love it but I’ve already played it more than the last three twiztid albums combined.

I don’t think his lyrics sound contrived and his hooks are repetitious but it works for them.

His flow is alright. Nothing to write home about but not non existent. It’s very conversational which i like. I can actually understand him. I’m sick of everybody chopping their asses off. If you ain’t tech n9ne i don’t care how fast you can spit.

I’ll def catch him at the gathering if he gets a set.

I got the black season from the casket factory tour. Bomb on em live sold me on lex the hex master. Majik ninja struck gold wit that dude. Raw shit is my other favorite but all the songs are good on there.

Lex sounds like the lost and forgotten juggalo from Horseshoe Gang or Slaughter house. I can see him gaining appreciation from the rest of the hip hop community. His flow is very generic. His technical ability is on point. His songs are not that diverse yet. As a first taste, this EP sounds promising. I am anxious to see where he goes in the future. Since we all know we are going to compare him to his Psy counter part, Hoodoo, I’m going to say that his debut is much better than Hoodoo’s. Though, I prefer Hoodoo when Hoodoo is doing his own thing rather than J’s thing. That Mono verse though!

He sure as fuk suprised me! Hoodoo, you better step that game up. Its a battle for voodoo master hahaha. I enjoy Crystal skull a lot but… Lex delivered in my opinion. Mabye a witch doctor collaboration is in effect.

The Fake Beef Created by the Fans is realy quite entertaining at this Point.

“Fake”? It’s anything but fake. It became obvious in Mono’s verse in “Down With Us”. And again, Mono’s verse in “Down Here”. Then the periscope video. Then the letter that was put up and taken down by ICP giving Twiztid a 2 week deadline to answer whether or not they’d be at the gathering. Then that one video where Mono drops a couple N Bombs while talkin about why they left Psy, demanding public apologies… I mean it’s all there. We didn’t tell them to do this shit. We created nothing. It is what it is. Personally who cares about it anymore? Let them throw subliminal disses out, whatever.

Don’t care for Lex. Youtube’d his stuff. It sucks.

Blaze, dope as always.

massive difference between occasional ‘subliminal’ pokes [interspersed with album and live collaborations], and beef.

and for real, where does ‘subliminal’ keep coming from?  everybody always sayin subliminal disses here, there, everywhere.

if they were subliminal, you wouldnt know about em.  thats what subliminal means.

Buncha people speculating…To Me, beef is wen ur ready to ride for some shit. 2pac vs Biggie was a Beef.If there is sum kinda problem with Twiztid and ICP.It alll boils down to a Buisness dispute. Those can be handled easily. I doubt its anything personal.Until I hear “Fuck them” from either one of there Camps.Imma treat all this hear say and speculation as just that…speculation.I get wat ur sayin tho 86.I wouldnt doubt if theres some tension with the situation.Im sure both sides feel slighted in there own ways. They’ll work it out tho.

Id have to say that a good reason to be subliminal is to not lose a fanbase and completely start from scratch.

okay, that makes for fine academic theory…

… and is also a fantastic reason not to bother in the first place.

plus, again, if its subliminal, people would, by definition, be unaware of it.  which means, theres no point.

Well mr english professor i guess subliminal is not the correct word to use, since by definition you’d have to be unaware. The word i meant to use is indirect.
