thats actually not the interview i was thinking of. but thanks for posting.

and PRJ.... you know how we all get with teh word 'rumor' and you still do it hahaha.

Either way, i want a new soad album with no daron on vocals.

and i want a serj/tech n9ne collab. because that would be sick as fuck.

really dumb move by shavo (imo)

they're lucky serj is even touring w/them allowing them to eat & this dude is still lashing out.

as some of you have already pointed out, the band soad isnt shit w/o serj.there is a very clear disconnect between hypnotize/mesmerize and theyre first three albums (whice were all fantastic).daron wanted to show his musical genius and take over the band's creative control and destroyed everything that was good about the band.those last two piece of shit albums turned everyone off to the band, including serj, who i dont blame for jumping ship @ that point.

if they ever do put out a new record, daron needs to shut the fuck up & let serj handle writing ALL the lyrics & performing ALL the vocals...daron is just about one of the worst singers/writers i can think of

I was under the impression daron actually wrote all the lyrics.

and in saying serj made the band, it was only because the band could control his input.

wihtout someone to tell him when he is doing shitty music we end up with what he has released solo, which mostly sounds like he got on acid adn attacked his piano.

i didnt hate the last 2 albums, but they werent shit on the first three.

im listening to self titled right now actually hahaha

I think it was The Doors because in a recent interview where he talks about getting Serj he mentions that they're like "brothers" now and that Serj is down as fuck with Tech, and I also believe in that same interview he mentions the previous musician pulling out after going public with the collab, so I really don't think its Serj.

limp bizkit coollaughsmilesurprised

my only question is that album was supposed to come out it june right?

why is there not a pre-order for it yet?

when both wrekonize"s which took the date june 25 to release his album and even mayday's album which comes out in july is already up for pre-order.

from wiki which dont make it real.

Something Else is the upcoming thirteenth studio album by American rapper Tech N9ne. The album is set to be released on June 25, 2013 by Strange Music. However, due to the date of label-mate Wrekonize's solo album The War Within being put on July 25th, it is likely Something Else will be pushed back for a July release date.

Its probably not even finished yet. tech seems to love working on the deadline.

theres been no 'real' news about the album yet. itll prolli be pushed until after believers, which sucks but what ya gunna do.

false.on their first album serj wrote ALL the lyrics (only track w/lyrics co-written by daron is "CUBErt")

what serj does on his solo shit is exactly that...his solo shit.its not SOAD so don't expect it to sound the same...but when it comes to SOAD, when serj was in control he never disappointed.

if they really try to put out a serj-less SOAD album, it'll flop just as bad as that "scars on broadway" nonsense

SYSTEM OF A DOWN Insist They Are Not Moving On Without Frontman Serj Tankian

Yesterday, System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian made some pretty stupid comments about going on without lead singer Serj Tankian that didn't sit too well with the band.

Not smart, Shavo. Especially when the band has no idea that you're even saying the stuff you're saying before it goes out into the press? About a few hours after Shavo seemingly made a bunch of shit up about what the band was doing without any real context, the band posted this message to their Facebook:

Earlier today, Shavo posted a few statements on his personal Facebook page that do not reflect the sentiments of System Of A Down as a collective band. These were misleading statements that were made during a temporary state of bad judgment on his part alone. To be clear, the full band lineup of Serj, Daron, Shavo and John will be performing all scheduled tour dates. With respect to new SOAD music, although we have not agreed on a timetable for a new album, we all believe that having the four of us do it together is the way to be true to the band and our fans.

So then why? Why did Shavo just outright say the stuff he said and made it sound like it was on behalf of the band when nobody else in the band seemingly felt that way? Way to screw things up, dude. We finally got all four of you into a room to even consider making new music and you're just… saying stuff. Granted, I agree that Serj seems like he's doing his thing, but he's been doing his thing for a while. Just because there's a reunion doesn't mean there needs to be new music! For what it's worth, Shavo has since deleted his Facebook comments

I guess we'll see… but I'm sorta holding out for a System album in 2014, even if it's just for nostalgia purposes.

Serj Tankian on a New System of a Down Album: ‘It’s Not Something I Can Do Right Now

A few weeks ago, bassist Shavo Odadjian spoke out candidly on his Facebook page about his System of a Down bandmate Serj Tankian. His sentiments seemed to take aim at Tankian’s multiple solo projects and his belief that they hold back the band. In a new interview, Tankian discusses his thoughts on the current status of System of a Down and where things are headed in the future.

The bottom line is, It doesn’t appear that a new System of a Down album is coming any time soon, as Tankian explained to Artist Direct, “A new record requires three years. It’s not something I can do right now. When I can commit to a three-year album cycle, I’ll be down to do it.” He also talked about the creative process, saying, “I can’t write a forced record. It’s like romancing someone at a time you don’t want to be romantic. It’s not even a choice.”

Without referring to anyone directly, Tankian also said, “You can’t do it on anyone else’s timeframe.” He continued, with a laugh, saying, “You can’t take orders. We’re not making pizza.”

At the end of the day, Tankian seemingly had nothing but love and respect for his bandmates, sharing, “First and foremost, they’re my partners and friends I’ve created this music and career with over these years.” He continued, saying “I’m still very thankful. To me, it’s what I’ve done. It’s where I’ve come in. It’s something I enjoy doing.”

So while it could be a while before a new System of a Down album gets under way, it appears there are no hard feelings in the SOAD camp and the new music will be forthcoming as soon as the proper stars align
