Ive always been a big limp fan since "3 dollar bill yall," Not sure how I feel about there new direction signing with Cash Money. Hopefully they bring back the metal to some of there new stuff.

The FIRST TIME i ever saw Limp Bizkit was when they opened for PRIMUS on halloween night in 1997 at the State Theatre in Detroit(now known as the Fillmore where Hallowicked is every year).
they kicked ass. POWERMAN 5000 was also an opener as well. this was loonnngggg before either of those two bands became popular in the mainstream universe.
who knew that i would be at that SAME VENUE on the SAME EXACT DAY every year since 2003 to attend HALLOWICKED! must be destiny

Bizkit's last album "Gold Cobra" was out cold!
Cash Money is gonna turn limp bizkit into a poppy soft rock band to appeal to little 16 year old girls(and yes i am aware they were "poppy' back in '99-'01 but at least it was actually METAL).
if Limp Bizkit actually toured the U.S. instead doing all these whack ass shows in Europe all the time then they may have been able to hold some sort of cultural significance in the music culture, and still be able to work on THEIR fanbase.
i dont care if nu metal is dead, it's still 50X better than than the rock music that is getting spoon fed to society today.

nu metal is metal for frat boys, which by default, makes it not metal. all of this is subjective mind you, but as a metal enthusiast it has always been my firm opinion that nu metal plays to the largest common denominator. a little rap, a little rock, a metal riff, charismatic frontman, some scratching... while some thrash bands experimented with rap, no metalhead is ever going to take a band with a dj, or a rapper seriously. its just rock music with some metal influences. im not trying to put to fine a point on this pencil, but seriously? limp bizkut? thats fucking blasphemy calling it metal. search your hearts you know im right

i like rap metal cuz its my two favorite kinds of music merged together.
i cant get into that whole screaming and grunting in the microphone like Cannibal Corpse or Cradle of Filth do. that shit just isnt in my league, even when i was a metal head in high school. see bands like Hatebreed, Kittie, andLamb of God etc are the shit though cuz even though they screaming i can understand what the fuck they are saying.

Old limp bizkit was dope, I grew out of it but now looking back I like a lot of it again. The new shit all soft but as most do especially bands or rappers who really fell off, they just doing whatever for the money now.
The fact is whether we like it a lot they are back in a spotlight they couldn't capture themselves for years

I Have to respectfully disagree man. To me Slipknot is the greatest metal band of all time. You can't fuck with corey taylors voice and Joey on Drums? Travis Barker couldn't fuck with joey imo. 9 motherfuckers including a DJ coming together to make a fucking metal masterpiece. Beautiful
