CTC Duwop (a Chicago rapper with a gun in his lap) takes the BBC on a tour of gang war territory in this new video. Maybe Duwop can answer some of Living Colour's questions.

Although I don't agree with the idea of gun control (as they are considering lately in todays politics) I am 100% behind this video in a sense of them using this as a positive platform to acknowledge and recognize that although African Americans do have a high probability rate they are not the only victims of gun violence.

This was a very respectful and truthful message they sent here in this video and that is something even I (with a conservative mindset) can get behind. The first thing I noticed is that they acknowledged many victims of all different races while still getting the point across that it is definitely an issue in African American communities. It was very tasteful in my opinion. This is the type of message that will get more people behind the issue and addressing it. It at least made me feel a lot more sympathy personally.

Are guns the problem? I don't believe so. I believe hatred, profiling and a general lack of respect for others and their lives is the issue. We have to start caring about each other or we will destroy each other.

Much love to these guys for this video.

I really liked their take on it. And the idea that we have to change ourselves first before we expect other people to change. I don't know how well it works or if it will do anything but it's worth thinking about.
