Wasn't exactly sure where to put this but, this is my first time going to a mainstream festival. I was wondering if any one has been or is going? Like are there a lot of ninjas that go? I've been to the last 9 Gatherings So I kinda got a idea about festivals but this is still gunna be a whole new experience. Any way my fn point is WILL I SEE JUGGALOS AT BONNAROO?

That's kinda what I was thinking. 80,000 people is a shit ton more than I can imagine. I figure I'll run into a few at least.

Run around yelling "WHO TOOK THE CHICKEN OFF THE PLATE...AND PUT IT IN THE FRIDGE" It has worked every time ive tried it.

"Somewhere theres a Waffle House thats severely understaffed right now" -OCJ to Scruffy watching a second stage act at the Gathering.

Paint yourself up and during a show just unwind a 2 liter faygo all over everybody. My sisterwent to Bonnaroo twice, she says she maybe she saw a few juggalos but it was all hippys and ravers and stuff.

That's a such a good idea actually. It's like letting it be known to only the peeps that would know. With out letting every one else know. I'm sure a lot of people know about the whoops but, only juggs would know who put the chicken in the fridge. Lol thanks for that idea.

That sucks dude. Waste of money too by the sound. What was it like specifically?

Some festivals or even just shows, I honestly can't figure out why people are there other than to kill time or just say that they were there. Like how can people not mosh a little, or at least bob their heads at a show? Even just nodding a little at a jazz show or something. I used to catch the local jazz shows around here, pretty fun and chill.

Like I go up to the people that are just standing there or even sitting there at a metal show, with no emotion. I want to hurt them.

There were way too many people. I think around 80,000. You would goto to see shows and the tent would jus be filled up. They would let one person in for every one that left. You had to wait in lines for tickets for shows jus to come back later and wait in lines for the actual show to start. If a VIP wanted to cut right in front of you they could. Then the main stage acts were the worst. It was So crowded for what seemed like miles back Kanye West looked like a tiny stick figure rapping. All mainstream types of people were there. So many hipsters, beards, and 80's style sunglasses. I really don't know how anyone could have enjoyed it unless they were V.I.P. (Private viewing area w/ ac basically right up front for all the stages) or on drugs the whole time. I was neither.

Not to mention the RFID chips in all the wristbands and drones flying above nightly.Honestly it prolly would of been dope as fuck if the amount of people that went was cuts by 1/2. There
was jus way to many peeps there. It sucked going to everything jus to find out you couldn't get in.

That's the one PRJ lol... naked male clown dancers, cop actors slammed through tables, balls kicked into the thousands with $100 and $500 bills taped to em... no one rocked it like the clowns. Except, surprisingly, Limp Bizkit. Like em or not, the turned something loose. RATM had a great set too. And Metallica. I remember Jamiroquai smoking a joint and dancing around people throwing trash at him lol. . And some MTV veejay interviewed Kid Rock and he said something like "I got a bottle of jack and an eightball, I'm gettin fucked up!" Like he had zero cares lol... Ice Cube's set was good but it was identical to his Family Values set, maybe longer though.

I went to Carolina Rebellion last month and it was stupid as shit. It had two mainstage type stages, where acts performed at alternating times. So as soon as one band would end their set, everyone had maybe ten minutes to stampede en masse over to the other stage to see the next band. But when you got there, there were so many thousands of people already there that you couldn't get more than like 100 yards away from the stage. Then there were hundreds of those drunk assholes who barge their way to the front, so you were constantly getting shoved and trampled. I watched an entire Rob Zombie set and only laid eyes on him maybe four times because I was so far back. There was nothing to do that wasn't corporate sponsored (spin a Zippo wheel and win a bottle opener, visit the Monster Energy booth, buy beef jerky from the Matador booth, etc). It just sucked...like, there's no way I'd go to something like that again. GOTJ for life.

That's how I felt at "roo." Lol you could goto to the Ford test drive area. It was jus sitting a car and to a free Ford bandanna. You could also goto the Xbox tent and try all the new games in air condition lol. FUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKK THAT SHIT! They would search bags, pat you down and make you lift you hat and shit every single time you would come in from the camping area. You couldn't bring beer or glowsticks in, yet they would sell that shit inside. Actual cans and tall cans but you couldn't bring your own? I don't drink So Idgaf but others were pissed. There would jus be huge piles of cans, full cases, 1/2 cases all at the check point by noon. G.o.t.j. for life!!! The best part tho would have to be the Gayfish episode of South Park really happened there. Lol there were people dressed as gay fish. There was a "fish pride march" people where holding up signs, posters, pics they made. All the day he played, that was funny. I wouldn't go back to somthing like that. I felt out of place like a mofo there. At gotj I feel like king shit pimp ass elite ass mufucka.

This would make a great article. Comparisons of the reality behind summer music fests. Its funny how GOTJ gets totally pissed on by the media and it is by far the funnest, most unique, laid back and memorable (and with the best groups IMO) festival of all.

And NO corporate sponsorship! Besides maybe Faygo lol but the clowns just spray it and the vendors might have some. No advertisements....

That stupid Ford simulation and all the shit Raven mentioned too.. man its like we as humans have the divine duty to destroy that garbage. You can't even blame the corporations for bombarding us with that gay shit, since we just accept it and play the game.

THIS is why Woodstock 99 went up in flames.

I've checked out a few articles I found on Google from people that go and write about different feativals. The peeps that have been to gotj said it was more fun. Danny Brown was at bonnaroo this year. I jus saw a video of him talking bout playing diff ones. He said gotj was his favorite. Idk jus seems like bonnaroo was jus a big ass money grab for someone. Gotj is deff way more about the people. I realize that now that I have got to experience a mainstream one. Makes me appreciate Psychopathic that much more. I feel bad for sneaking into 8 of the 9 gotjs I went to now that I really see how much they do for us. After that I will always pay to gather now it that helps keep it going.

The list of stuff you couldn't bring into Carolina Rebellion was pretty ridiculous...no drinks except for one bottle of water, no alcohol of any kind, no food of any kind, no chairs, no umbrellas, no instruments, no hula hoops, no vending of any kind, no backpacks...oh, and NO RE-ADMISSION, so it's not even like you can go to your vehicle for a meal or drink. I mean, fuck ALL of that. At GOTJ, I can pack up my backpack full of beer and water, take my chair and umbrella to main stage, eat my dinner and sell hula hoops and no one is gonna say anything to me.

Normal bottles of water were $5. The beers were $7 for a can and $9 for a draft, and people were drunk as hell and cans were EVERYWHERE, so people were buying them hand over fist. I waited 45 minutes in line to get a personal pizza that I paid I think $9 for. Waited another half hour to spin the stupid Zippo wheel since there was literally NOTHING else going on ( I won a bottle opener...some people won nothing, after waiting all that time).

I really did think about writing up a compare/contrast article about the GOTJ versus "normal" festivals, but then, I've only been to the one "normal" one. Never been to others like Bonnaroo or EDC. Plus I left early the second day due to an emergency at home. So I didn't write it. But the experience did make me super grateful for what Psy does for us with the GOTJ. I paid almost the same amount for Carolina Rebellion and only got two days of shows, grounds packed full of sponsorship and overpriced drinks, and a huge $100 admission VIP tent which was the only shade in the entire venue. GOTJ doesn't money grub like that, and I respect that a lot more now.
