miles davis is a good start. charlie parker, dizzy gillespie, herbie hancock. john coltrane of course. if you like guitar, john abercrombie, some of claptons work, lots of blues guitarists fuck with jazz stylings.
im just listing famous names off the dome here. when i hear a song i like, i basicly never catch the artists names.
really, theres so many options with jazz that the thing to do is just dive in and sort through it until you find the shit you groove to.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

quick shout out to 88.9 kjlu, the only jazz station in missouri, that i know of. also, the one station i get that ever plays reggae, classic rnb and soul, blues, etcetera. they play pop rnb and hiphop at night, but theyre a bit inconsistent on quality there [ie, the djs only play what they like].
at any rate, if youre driving through missouri, and you dont wanna listen to lynrd skynrd, country, or recitations of the ten commandments, 88.9 is the answer.
[side note - they have played icp before. probably by mistake, but its still the only time ive heard icp on the radio]
awfully paranoid, arent you?
