what up.
prj: if it aint a duncan fly, it aint shit.
I saw a little girl (6-10) years old approx fucking up with her Yo Yo (yes it was a Duncan) at my store while I was wheeling freight the other day. I stopped and dropped my stack of boxes and went back and proceeded to teach her how to walk the dog with that sucker for damn near half an hour. When I left to go back to work her Mom came up to me on the side and thanked me for making her day. Then my manager gave me a commendation for customer engagement. I love that I work for a company that paid me 10 dollars to teaching a kid to do a trick with a Yo Yo, then thanked me for doing it.

Well if you could do that cradle trick I'm sure you would've gotten paid more than $10.
Troll fail but nice try my dude. Im totally straight with making 20 an hour at a grocery store job where I teach kids to yo yo instead of working. Infact im proud I make that much because it took me damn near 8 years at the same job getting a raise every time im eligible to get one, with a couple bonus raises for exceeding expectations. I cant get raises anymore, but usually it takes about 10 years to get there at my company. The cap is going up to 20.19 in January so cue [email protected] Stimpy's happy happy joy joy im getting a 19 cent raise soon
While im on the subject.

Holy shit how did you get enough raises to make 20 bucks at a grocery store? I work at Best Buy right now, and I was making more when I worked at walmart. My gf is making more money than me right now, so she's my sugga mama
I got hired for 7.50 in 2005, 2 months later they gave me a discretionary raise (its what they used to call them) to 9. Then for the next 3 or so years they gave me a 50 cent raise every 3 months (Trader Joe's used to be the shit like that, now they are on some cheap ass shit) which got me to around 14 or 15 (sometimes I wouldnt get a perfect score so instead of 50 cents id get like 35 or so). Then they realized that was in no way sustainable as they grew and cut the number of raises per year in half and reduced the amount in half as well. Now if you make under 16 per hour you get .45 cents every 6 months, and if you are over that you strangely get 65 cents. By that point I just collected two 65 cent raises a year till I capped. Easy as that. Granted the expectations go up to get the raise as your rate goes up. Im the lead trainer, I write a dry section of the store, I train/plan food demo calendars basically anything that needs to be done above the normal cashier/stocking everyone does. I also never call out ever, unless I am dying and then I still go in to be sent home by a manager and am rarely if ever tardy. One time I got my nose shattered in a fight while I was drunk and rolling, and still went in to work with the nose broken, two swollen as shit black eyes, and a throbbing headache. Youd be amazed how much credit you get for just showing up for a consistent number of years. Ask Cal Ripkin Jr. He knows whatsup.
Now it sucks for new hires at TJs though they hire at 10 bucks an hour but make the standards really high to get that 45 cents. They also used to give PPO health insurance with dental and vision for all employees who worked an average of 20 hours a week, but now they just raised to 30. I work 40 so its no big deal to me, but my girl who also works there averaged 29.1 hours a week and just lost her coverage. IDK where im going with this /endrant.
