What’s up ninjas? New to the forum, going through a hard time with my mom’s cancer. Wanted someone to talk to.

Welcome fam. Not an easy thing to go thru, keep your head up. What kinda cancer? My girl and I each lost a parent from cancer. Her mother was lung, my dad was liver.

Much strength and love.
However, some good news.
My dad had testicular cancer. He had one or both of his balls removed, but he’s been cancer-free ever since. He is like 72 and still thriving.
My mom had breast cancer and had a double mastectomy. Both breasts removed. But she has been cancer-free ever since. She has been thriving ever since.
Dont give up hope. Also, simultaneously prepare yourself for anything. When you get down time, imagine future scenarios where the worst happens. Give yourself a mental heads up for sanity and self-preperation. I do that all the time. I imagine what it would be like to lose another family member, and try to sort it out. Because you will need every bit of planning and consideration for any and all situations.

Esophageal. It’s covered it up entirely so she can’t swallow, has to eat through a tube directly into the intestines, and drain her stomach fluids constantly. Her day consists of almost entirely sleep now. :( Thanks for the love.

Relate… got to cook holiday meals for my sick father-in-law and to our surprise he actually managed to eat. What do your days in the boonies consist of, @JohnhenryChaos ?

I have a nice pot farm in the mountains of Colorado, usually hangin with my family, tending to the plants and workin on the cabin. Lots of music and nature…and a LOT of weed.
