Okay, what do you think the order of YOUR FAVORITE Joker’s Cards in order of musical production? Not which ones are what you consider the most proficiently made, but your favorite.
For me, from least favorite to favorite:
Carnival of Carnage (don’t get me wrong i love the old schoil sound, but it wasn’t right yet)
The Amazing Jeckel Brothers (shit like Terrible is so not funky)
The Great Milenko (some of the guitar tracks detract from the disc)
Hell’s Pit (minimalist works most of the time..suits the Hell theme)
Ringmaster (dark and where they found their groove.. gets boring toward the end, though)
Shangri-La (inventive, layered, but the while shit just goes by so hastily)
Riddlebox (clowniest, most cohesive, dark and goofy and angry and funny).

honestly, the production generally dictates my “best” list cuz it matters that much.. still tho, production-wise..
best to worst:
“riddlebox” it’s really just ICP at their best.. schoolin’ the gimmick to its fullest potential..
“milenko” its a lil more consistent production-wise but less consistent with the “magic”..
“jeckel bros” i under-rate this project cuz i dont find the songs as interesting as its predecessors but this project bangs..
“ringmaster” i may be biased cuz this is the 1st jokers card i heard in its entirety but it’s just very atmospheric and like OMD referenced, 94 is the year their song-game was stepped up..
“carnival of carnage” given how old this is, they really came correct with it.. especially considering what else was being released at the time..
“shangri la” it doesnt have the same magic of the early cards..
“hells pit” half of this record is amazing.. if it was more consistent it could be above milenko but too much of the beats dont appeal to me..

COC. Early 90s rap and it sounds like it. Not bad by any means but was more Inner City Posse than Insane CLOWN Posse largely to me production wise.
Ringmaster. A bit more experimental, lots of sounds and samples that wernt prevelent in rap music around this time. Still very old school sounding and almost dated at this point but the characters really started showing up on this record.
Riddlebox. Pretty much perfect. Sinister and silly samples blended perfectly with hard rap drum breaks.
Milenko. At times it feels like an even better extension of Riddlebox but the guitars throw a spanner in the works and knock it down a peg.
Amazing Jeckel Bros. The drums knock hard but it started to lose the atmosphere and magic that the previous 2 had.
Shangi-La. Pretty much everything I dont listen to Hiphop for.
Hells Pit. Production wise just seemed to go through the motions without any soul or magic.
