I found this little gem yesterday at my local goodwill for 99 cents. And as soon as I saw it, this big ass smile came on my face. I just started thinking about back when I was like 15, hanging out with fam, riding around just being kids. We all thought we were so cool. Back to probably the best time of my life. When shit was complicated, but at that age we could just throw it to the side and not have to deal with it. I went to the fair and tried to win this exact picture in the balloon dart game. Spent way more than 99 cents and walked away empty handed. This is some karma shit. Like it was put there just for me, like “here you go.” Idk, sometimes shit like this just makes me think way deeper than I probably should.
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong catagory.

I love it when that happens…Ive eaten my share of funny little things and my memory is kinda splotchy at times, but when I look at old pictures (especially gathering ones) I am instantly put back into my old shoes…
It kinda sucks sometimes though…I saw a picture of my grandma the other day and it made me remember how frail and dejected she looked the last time I saw her in contrast to the vibrant nature of the aforementioned picture.
But it also rocks sometimes…I found a picture of me and my girl on the Potomac River (the river that separates VA, DC, and MD) our first year together and I was transported back to that awesome moment. It was perfect: A cool October night on a wine/beer tasting boat she found, with a little alcove we found to smoke a joint on together and stare at the national Mall. The cool breeze on the water…the smell of firewood and kush…and those beautiful brown eyes gazing adoringly at me…I just went and printed the picture and put it in my wallet it made me so happy.

For me its usually smells that trigger memories of times and people long forgotten otherwise
