i learned later that indonesian street vendors do most of their washing of vegetables and bowls for the ones who actually use them in the gutter water on the side of the road.

yeah im so glad my wife told me of that before she suggested eating on the side of the road. the only food i could consume that didnt make me violently ill was breadtalk bread. stuff is amazing.
