Yo, the “Whoops” have been replace with “Thanks”! That’s wack because after all these years, I started noticing the stats and I was one of the top “Whooped” motherfuckers! I may as well have had Whooping Cough! Wack as fuck!

ScottieD ran an update on WordPress and SimplePress. That wiped out all the custom code we did for the “Whoop” system. I modified the Thanks mod code to show the word “Whoop”. I had also modified the SimplePress files to show the Whoop counts under the avatar next to posts, in the profile page, and in the footer of the Forum.
I was never a fan of the counts but I did like that it said the word “Whoop”.
I will give it about another week to make sure we don’t have to run any patches to the recent upgrade which would overwrite any changes I make. I’ll change it to show “Whoop” after that. It will be up to Scottie if he wants me to edit core SimplePress code for the count system. My vote is to leave off the counts. They were never part of the mod, it was a hack to have them appear. I know changing the name from “Thank” to “Whoop” is also a code modification, but it is a simple one word change in the code, the counts were complete sections of code modified in (if I remember correctly) 3 different files.
I did recently add the Recent Forum Posts back on the Front Page. No code changes required for that. It does require some html formatting and I hope I got that part correct. I think every time I have re-added the Recent Forum Posts, I do it slightly different each time.
I guess we could see what the Forum thinks about the count system:

Note: This is not the “Whoop” or “Thank” system being polled. This is in reference to having the counts displayed of how many whoops you’ve acquired or bought or botted.

That being said, There are other options that can be set in the “Whoop” system that may play into this. … We don’t have to display counts, we can just display a label. Like maybe leave the highest ranked stuff off but under the avatar in forum posts, it could display the label. … and thanks Whoops to @ganjagoblin for coming up with the names. I think we may have to play the the numbers a bit.

Well, your poll above is in favor of the numbers staying. I like your idea of having just the label under your avatar, but that isn’t a poll option. (But damn you gotta get a fuck ton of whoops to move up there lol.)

There is also the point distribution system. There is an option for points per day since joined. You joined within the first few months of the “new” forum back in 2012. You would get quite a few points for being here this long.
Those types of options can be adjusted and well as adjusting the numbers for the titles so the transition between them isn’t so bad.
I think (from poll results) that the counts are what people want. I will get those up this week.
I still like the idea of the title. There’s no reason it can’t be both numbers and titles.
