Just to be clear, Tara. If you dare show your face at a juggalo event, I will totally… treat you like a normal person, as would most juggalos :). Please don’t let your fears prevent you from living your life to the fullest. I already do that for myself, so from experience I can tell you that is no good! Also, Drunkalo makes a good point. If you question things this much, maybe you aren’t content with who you are? I think you should answer those questions for yourself first. If you have a firm grasp as to what you believe, then it’s on fools like me to believe you or not. As I said before, just to reiterate, I wish you nothing but happiness my dude/chick.

As others have said, -most- Juggalos don’t care but there are some shitty people in our scene. A trans friend of mine was assaulted by someone at a local show here in Cali, a number of years ago. I haven’t heard about anything going down in recent years and I’m directly in touch with a large group of gender variant types, be they trans (mtf, ftm, gq) or gender non-conforming.

At the gathering there are people who cross dress and trans people all over the place and the worst they get are stares or insults, generally. And that’s increasingly rare.

If you’re going to the show cross dressing or presenting different than you normally do you’ll most likely be fine and have a great time. I recommend either bringing a crew or finding a few people to kick it with that way you aren’t isolated. Solo people who stand out make for easy targets for people who are looking to start shit. And that would be true regardless of how you present or dress.
