We are looking to add a Nightshift Moderator here at Faygoluvers. We are not replacing any moderators, just adding an additional one.

As we approach the Gathering, our ranking with Google goes up and with that the amount of spam posts increases.

Most of these type of posts occur between Midnight and 6am so we are looking for someone who is active at least for part of this time span.

The qualifications are to be able to separate “Church and State” as it were. It does not matter if you are a “popular” person on here or not, you just need to be professional in terms of moderation duties. You can still be yourself and post how you like but when called upon (when spam posts appear) we need someone who can step in and delete them. We would like someone who has somewhat of a presence here and posts at least occasionally.

If you are a night owl and feel you would like to do this, let us know.

The duties are simple. Delete spam posts. This would also include posts with nudity or illegal download links. This is easier if you use the web interface instead of only having a phone for access to Faygoluvers but can be done with a phone if necessary. We will not be deleting posts for disagreements or differing points of view – Separation of “Church and State”.

We will hold this open for about a week before making a decision.

It pays $0.00 a hour. Full medical and dental insurance is available if you buy it yourself from an independent provider. If I remember correctly, you also get a free autographed photo of @scottied if you are offered the position…. I can’t quite remember.

There really is no pay. @scottied doesn’t make money on this site. It is partially paid for by advertisers and he pays the rest out of his pocket to keep the site up. He even has to pay for his own tickets to the Gathering so no freebees are given either.

I think you would be a good candidate. You fit the time slot and I feel you (like probably Lucem and Slumerican) would be able to make the “church and state” distinction. It requires being non-partisan for Moderator duties. You would still be able to be yourself for everything else. Like/dislike whoever. Get into arguments. Etc… Just be able to switch to Moderator mode occasionally to delete spam and then go right back to being yourself.

then how come every time log onto this forum last posts are like 15 hours old??

I am personally never on these forums before 1PM and after 8PM EDT with some very rare exceptions

and whoever get’s the new spot all I can say is it better be taking the spot away from the disgusting s-word

he’s been gone longer than warlock was and warlock lost his spot because he was gone for too long

where I come from you don’t come to work for a few days you ain’t welcome back unless of course your very sick but as pigg and VMD stated s-word is not sick and he is not in jail for beating a 400 pound woman up he just does not want to come on here because he does not feel safe anymore.

I vote for Cochon but only if he takes the spot of the s-word if not I say just keep the forum the way it is and when the normal mods wake up in the morning they can delete those fake passport spam posts it only takes a few seconds and nobody on these forums is dumb enough(besides spooky)to click those links anyway.
