Have you ever had a song you heard that you feel like was a complete waste of potential? I can think of fucking tons, the ones on my mind (because I’m sick of hearing it) is 1-800-273-8255 by logic. It sucks, I hate it, and it all comes down to the “hook” (the part where he says the same words over and over again), its as subtle as a trainwreck on a boat killing an army of mimes. And the “who can relate, whoo” is the most insulting thing in the world. The verses are alright, I think they should be more wordy, but their alright. But everything is ruined by that fucking repeating of “I just wanna die” or “I finally wanna be alive”. The reason it ruins everything is because the rest of the song is actually reasonably subtle, or at the very least downplayed, its not all out in your face like icp’s suicide hotline, which I won’t compare because their differnt styles. I think they should have said these words, but only said them once and then let them sink in. And this would make the final line increadably poignent, the delivery of the last few words, is fucking perfect. I think its one of the best deliveries of all time, its so subtle, and fueled by a shit ton of emotion, only problem is HE SAID THE SAME LINE WITH NO GOOD DELIVERY 13 TIMES BEFORE THE ENDING LINE! It ruins it, it makes it mean nothing, this delivery could have been so powerful, but they fucked it up. It makes me angry because its such a popular song and it could have been really good. 

Some other random wastes of potential that I’ll just mention are Out there by icp ft bushwick bill. When I found out they were in a song together I was hyped because I love bushwick, and I was hoping it would be a horrorcore song seeing as bushwick was in the geto boys and the geto boys basically invented horrorcore. 

And then for a song that just regular pisses me off and not for any waste of potential reason because there was no potential I have to go with mother fucking fuck fuck bullshiting piece of shit gucci gang.
