I hope there is at least a couple more seasons cause nothing else on TV is as cool, Too many Damn commercials though, this season is the first actual season I've been able to watch it on TV, the past 2 seasons I watched when they came out on dvd, they need more zombie scenes… I wish they would stop using CGI for fuck sake they have one of the Best Zombie effects teams there is with KNB and Greg Nicatero, they should just use red food coloring and corn syrup like the old school zombie flicks.
Michonne is bad ass! she's my favorite character so far

I only watched the first and half the second seasons. I started reading the comic book series around '04, when the artist change happened. I couldn't stand the tv show after awhile. Most people complain that there isn't enough action or zombie scenes, but that isn't what Walking Dead is a focus on.

Agreed….The comics are better but it still is a good show. One of the highest rated in tv actually

almost all television is pure garbage. now that football season is over, im really only interested in the rest of breaking bad. everything else is, at best, better than nothing.
i dont have cable or any of that shit, so the tv i watch is somebody elses, homies or whoever. for the most part, they are bright enough to see whats wrong with the shit they watch, but they choose to watch it anyway.
if you gotta draw a general conclusion based on viewing habits, make it about them.
also, just to mention, i am not any more impressed by good ratings than i am by good grades.
my biggest problem with the show is the same as my friends have: they dont even try to follow the books. and the books are much, much better.
that, and, theres too many little logical problems, the makers seem to know nothing about survivalism, and the characterizations are too wacky. id have wasted half the people in that crew at some point, definitely would waste the leader now. would you be dumb enough to allow a loony like that to have a firearm while you slept?

Has anyone played the game? Pretty good way to waste a couple hours, if you dont mind point and click gaming. Total stand alone though, its not really relatable to the show or comics.

I havent watched the show and dont plan on it because it looks lame IMO. But, I loved the game. I thought it was one of the best stories in a game, ever…

Agreed. I dig karma choices and strategical plans, and that the whole game is maybe 3-4 hours in length which is about as long as my brain can focus on zombies anymore.
I watch the show now just to finish what it started, even if its ending up to be pretttyyyy shitttttyyyy. At least it was somewhat captivating in the beginning, now I go through an episode and my entire thoughts for the hour are:
“Shut up Rick. Fuck off, Glenn. Shut up, Governor. Shut up Rick. Ah, a zombie. FUCK OFF RICK.”
Everyone has so many feelings.

The tv show follows the comic to an extent. Somethings are changed for added effect. Maybe when the attack on the prison occures Carl or Glenn might die. Maybe Maggie & the baby get killed. Michonne could kill Andrea and bang Rick.
For the people who have read the book, they're just bitter they don't know what happens next.

actually, i wouldnt really know too much either way. ive only read around ten or twelve issues worth.
but my friends, who watch the show because theyre into the books, are constantly reporting on the fresh shit that the show couldve or shouldve been doing this whole time. from what they are saying, its a lot of wasted potential.
dont get me wrong, the show isnt that bad. like i say, most tv is dreck, ill take walking dead over some dumb fuck of a reality show any day.

good profitability impresses me as much as good ratings, or good grades.
it doesnt have to be the same. but i dont see why i should enjoy it more for its flaws.
ive since dl'd the first hundred odd issues, and from what ive read so far, 'a lot of wasted potential' is a decent descriptor.
itll take a while to read all that, but what ive already gotten through is good stuff.

The Shane story arc & Dale dying early were a great twist. The addition of Daryl & Merle is disputable. But maybe Daryl dies the same way as Tyrese. Them killing off Lori the way they did was a little bit of a let down. No introduction of the pedophile at the prison is good hopefully they keep it like that. Hopefully Rick loses his hand or Maggie loses Glenn.

While we are on the subject though the governor and woodbury are soooo much crazier in the comics… I almost shit when Michonne nails his dick to that piece of plywood lol. I liked how lori died in the comics a lot better too but I can't see them killing off a baby on tv. Have you made it all the way to 107? This new guy Negan is a fucking boss dude. I didn't think it could get any crazier than the gov, but the way they killed off glenn….Shit was the most brutal killing I've ever seen in print
