I’m listening to “You Should Know” by Insane Clown Posse. Mainly a Violent J joint.

Started thinking, “this is a very good song. Quite personal and intimate. This sample I heard somewhere recently but I cant place it. Quite heartfelt and complex, even. But they would never, ever perform this live. No matter how Odd the Oddities show.”

So  . . Thus . . We have this thread theme..

Songs that you know ICP will never perform live.

If you’re wrong, you gotta drink a shot.

I was surprised by the whole Hells Pit show and that Bang Pow Boom is the faygo armageddon go to song. Song is about blowing up all the bad people and yet we go hard to it. Not saying its a bad thing, just odd in my head.

So, whats my penance, father? Ill have to tell the Mrs its a debt that needs paid.

Yeah bitches, im that short gentleman mentioned in that youtube video.

And the very nice, level headed guy from that other youtube video.

They’ve been using BPB! for their endtro a lot these past few years. I haven’t witnessed it live but it seemed to synchronize well with the Faygo tosses.

They will never perform “OK” even though it rocks.

Thats what im saying, maybe not right. It fits, its a great song. Just seems odd we are all in the mix for it. As we are the bad guys blowing up and its cool?

would not be all that surprised if they did cuss words.  a little.

ru wicked would not surprise me even one little bit.

odd bit of boring trivia…  for years ive been trying to keep track of all the shows ive seen, and what songs were played at them.  mostly icp, but twiztid, esham, others.  kinda lost track somewhere around a decade ago, but the internet is here to help catch me up.

anyway, while updating this thing, i thought i might as well also keep track of how many times ive seen each particular cut.

have only tallied twenty shows so far, with about that many left to go…  but at this point, it stands at roughly 125 separate icp songs.   not bad, especially considering that some of those are multiple tour stops with the same sets.  most often performed, shocker, chicken huntin slaughterhouse mix, 19/20.

Props for the tallies… which show DIDNT they play Chicken Huntin for yall? I dont think I’ve seen any.

I wonder if super new Juggalos ever go to their first clown show and hear Chicken Huntin, and have a revelatory reaction like:

“Yo, man! They opened up with this crazy metal hip hop song! I thought they were for sure going to open up with ‘Found’ but this completely blew me away! The metaphor for chicken is for like rednecks or something, it was lit!”

They will never play “My Baby Momma”.

God, they should.

I want to take one that may offer some risk to being played in the future…

Basehead Attack

Unless they played it on the Hell’s Pit tour (which I did not attend)

of the ones ive tallied so far, one [happy daze tour, i think] featured the fresh-ass chicken pluckin huntin mix from mike clarks murder mix.  as opposed to the usual slaughterhouse version.

beyond even that, though…  they didnt play chicken huntin on this last tour.  so theres at least that.  plus the various album shows.  maybe others.

They will never play “My Baby Momma”.

Next time they do another Tunnel of Love themed shows (pilfered secretly by Psychopathic Records from ya boi OMD here lol) they should bust out “My Homie Baby Mama”.

I always thought that the transition from “My Homie Baby Mama” after “Behind the Paint” was the most genius intentional tonal shift in music history. They go from their only real, in-depth confessional track about the despair part of their lives, to the goofiest and most left field track. Like they immediately want to move on from their own version of Bob Seger’s “Turn the Page” so as not to play the role of the maudlin. I feel it.

Interesting topic.

I don’t think I can imagine the clowns playing shit like The Dead One live. Not that I wouldn’t want to see it, but it seems to slow paced for live shit.

Manic Depressive falls into this category as well tho, I know for a fact they’ve done it live.

Hokus Pokus, the non-remix version. Has it ever been performed live?

Not after the double rainbow at the last GOTJ. Hey @kukluxklown maybe we can burn a blunt with u next year while u burn a Faygo cross on our (hopefully) Balla lawn. GREAT way to meet the fire marshal.
