Yeah, I live in a really expensive area. The apartment I’m living in now is 2k a month but we have roommates. They’re moving out next year to head to the East Coast so the fiance and I are gonna find a cheaper place to live and just be the two of us.

That said, as far as finances go legit figuring out how much I make is a god damn math problem.

I make 24 an hour base pay. Plus 5% differential for working the overnight shift. Plus I do 2 hours of mandatory overtime every night.  That’s right now though. Promotions where I work are based on a point system and I’ve only gotten one so far. But we’re super close to getting two more just right in a row if things work out for me.

I wish you the best though man, I’d love to do something more hands on than what I’m currently doing, like you are but that’s life for ya. Gotta worry about me and my girls finances and making sure everythings straight before worrying about the dream job.

As for me, as usual, it’s a long fucking story… but we moved from New York to Pennsylvania to New York to North Carolina to New York to Colorado and now we’ve been in Vermont for over 2 years. They opened legal Dispensaries October 1st of last year, and we were license number 1! The very first in the history of Vermont…. such an eerily similar situation from when we moved to Colorado in 2014 that it’s nigh unbelievable… but here we are, celebrated our one year anniversary last month and are doing fucking awesome… I realize that my current bosses are leagues above my last ones. They are a married couple and super cool. We have maintained the same staff since day one. The bud is great…. so those 7 years slanging legal herb weren’t for nothing… I also had a maintenance job at a lake lodge for a year in between legalization, where I’d get laid to take people on pontoon rides. Shit is surreal.

Currently I am in a super comfy hotel suite, paid for by the eye center, the least they could fucking do after my LASIK surgery earlier today that costs $5000+ if you take everything into account. Shit was nuts but am looking forward to life without glasses. 

I get paid well and the tips and perks are superb. But housing is rough around here, been in an upstairs apartment for 2 years even though I swore I’d never be in an apartment ever again. There aren’t any other options… so our biggest goal now is to own our first house. 

I said it years back on this fucking forum, you can achieve a lot in this life if you just go for it. The failures are a learning experience, too.
