Basically, there was a debate on personal carry for firearms and he made a comment stating that the average American (specifically Black Men) have a more legitimate fear of police officers than ISIS. That the police are his ISIS, and if he carried a weapon, he would most likely use it protecting himself from police officers over another civilian. Everyone’s butthurt and many are claiming he should resign. Also they asked him to apologize and he refused. Thoughts?

i see hi point. black people are still treated as criminals in the states as far as ive been able to discern. but also, letting people carry around firearms is just waiting to get people killed.

It depends. It’s kind of a strange issue but I’m for gun control, not gun banning and not a whole lot of gun control, but there are people that just shouldn’t have guns. Make them get them illegally. And it shouldn’t be really easy.
I have a friend who has a very very huge gun fetish. I mean, one if the happiest pictures I’ve ever seen of him was a picture of him holding an AK47 but he is completely Democratic when it comes to gun control.

Theres guns everywhere in my neighborhood, it wouldnt make a diffrence i think. They would have already done it. It sounds like fear tactics. Used the old ass American “crazed negro” technique. Like when they said they should outlaw cocaine because black men might go craxy and start raping white women. I dunno it sounded like it backfired on his ass

im a gun nut, and im starting to call for a few of the more intelligent aspects of gun control.
on the other hand, theres not gonna be any mass shootings at gun shows. they will continue to happen at places where there arent any armed people around. so disarming people isnt the answer. and tellin em ‘i can carrry but you cant’ is pretty much disarming them.
i was reading over us mortality statistics the other day, and its true, death by cop is a lot higher on the list than you wanna know.
far as unrestricted open carry and yada yada, i think it would lead to an awful lot of shootings, but over a period of, say, ten years or so, a darwinian process would take place that would tend to weed out the trigger-happy.
myself, i think it would be hella entertaining to watch, but most people are gonna be understandably hesitant to go through somethin like that.
apparently, the new tactic of the mass shooter isnt to shoot at all, but rather use an airliner. that shit actually disturbs me as much as police shootings.
and isis in america is just ludicrous. at least, not at all under their current operational pattern.

Plain and simple the senator spoke nothing but truth! If you break it down plain and simple the facts show that American citizens are 50x more likely to be killed by police than by terrorists. The only reason people get upset is because the main stream media always wants to make people look unpatriotic when they speak against the police… for what reason I don’t know. The only thing that I dont like is when people make it out to look like the police are against black people… fuck that! They against all of us! Not a week has gone by in the past year that I dont turn on the news (or Reddit) and see stories about the police killing, stealing, and taking away peoples rights. man fuck em! I can give a fuck less about ISIS, its these police that be fucking with us. I keep my guns loaded in my room (in a safe of course) and no one is fucking taking em from me… I need protections from these cowards, lol. (P.S. by no means am I advocating violence against police… just thought I’d throw that out there, lol)

A few month ago Mayor de Blasio (of NYC) shared details about a talk he had with his biracial son regarding police interactions.

Like Chambers, de Blasio was harshly criticized for publicly stating there is racial bias in police actions. If statistics demonstrate this, that more blacks in certain areas are stopped by cops but they make up a only a small percentage of the population, then what these politicians are saying is statistically true. So, numbers don’t lie but politicians are expected to?

Maybe this isn’t a comparison of the two stories as much as it’s a demonstration of how far people will go to avoid the facts of real-time bigotry. They’d rather live in theoretical rape. The virtual rape mod in Grand Theft Auto V might be Exhibit A. Anyone else think that maybe this new trend in testosterone enhancement has gone off the rails?

if in the act of a crime (a real crime, robbery assault etc.) the cops are well within their rights (IMO)to use any force necessary to cause the crime to stop
we pay cops to keep crime off the streets, if you want to live a “thug life” be prepared to deal with it
if you are mugging a little old lady and you get a cap busted in you, i call that justified.

We dont pay cops to shoot people but if we dont take our hands out of our pockets fast enough we are shot and killed and even with no gun on the person it will be ruled justified every single time. cowards.
P.S. Do it yourself? Shoot a burglar that breaks into your house, even if they have a weapon these days there is a chance you still can be charged with something. Shoot a burglar in your house who is unarmed… go chance your going away for few years… our system is fuckin corrupt.
