Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight was involved in a hit-and-run in Compton, Calif., that left one man dead and another injured on Thursday.  

According to Knight’s attorney, James E. Blatt, confirmed to EW that Knight ran over two bystanders when he tried to escape an altercation with two other men on the set of a film project where Dr. Dre and Ice Cube were present. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed that two victims were taken to the hospital shortly after the incident, which ocurred at 2:55 p.m. at the corner of Rosecrans and Central avenues.  

Blatt confirmed that the victim is TV actor Terry Carter and was a close friend of Knight’s. The second victim, whom Blatt identified as Cle Sloan, is in unknown condition, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
