6 out of 8 forum topics on homepage is all fuckin spam bots. There has to be something that can be done about this.not only is it annoying, but it makes the page/ forum look bad.
Isn’t there a way to detect spam during sign up, or by using keywords when posting?

What is the purpose of these spam bots? Are they trying to sell me shoes? Annoy me? Are they trying to get my credit card information so they can rob me? Or do they want to virus my computer?

Removing spam is one of the things our moderators are kind enough to do. Currently, word salad (confused or unintelligible mixture of seemingly random words and phrases) spam is tough/impossible to detect without a human. So I hope our mods keep tossing salads.

@piggofdoom , I think it is so the search engines find more links with various keywords around the link pointing back to their site so that it raises their search engine ranking. @seppe0 is a major spam bot that does this. The words are autogenerated so they don’t make too much sense. I have deleted about 10 posts from seppe0 in the last week and a half. If I had the power to ban, then he would be on the list with all of the carpinteyroxxx clan. At least the carpinteyzzz bots can’t make it through the math filter but there are close to 660 of them in that clan.
