Why or why not?
I work with a bunch on Xenophobes and I refuse to discuss this with them.
What’s the thoughts of the Juggalos?
Thanks in advance for your opinions.

SINCE WERE ON THE TOPIC, I SAY WHY NOT? IF WERE WORRIED ABOUT TERRORIST THEY WILL FIND A WAY ONE WAY OR AANOTHER. IF FRANCE IS WILLING TO STILL BRING REFUGEES AFTER THAT ATTACK THEN WE SHOULD AND NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT IT
Thank you!
I agree 100%
Wanna come here to my work and give that exact same statement for me?

for my part, yes.
adding to what drama said, i feel that we are, uh, a lot better able to handle a terrorist threat, than the xenophobic politicos want you to believe.
i know i aint scared of em, anyway. not that i want em to try it here… but if they do, all it will accomplish is to guarantee their demise.
and, the vast majority of those refugees are legit refugees. they need the help, and we can, and should, give it to em.
anybody remember the melting pot? im all about that shit.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Exactly.
They’re just families, mothers and fathers with their children trying to get away from the madness.

@shaman, that seems to be the common argument on the web “what about our homeless vets?”. Thats where the batman parable comes in. As much as we want to help people we can’t save everyone with the way that humans are. Our empathy rarely extends beyond our ripple in the wave of our existence. We COULD save everyone if we really wanted to. I wish that I had the power to make that happen and idgaf if that makes me sound socialist.
It blows my fucking mind, those against are these staunch republicans who are traditionally god fearing Christians but they embody NONE of the values that christ was supposed to have teached. Im on my phone and tired of typing but ill be back later.

Yes. Hands down. The process to be replaced as a refugee is extensive and exhaustive. No terrorists are coming over as refugees. Period. At least in the US.
Also, the whole point of the French attack was to intimidate westerners into not supporting refugees. ISIS is making the lives of these people a living hell. If the world closes the doors on them, they’ll be slaughtered and abused by the actual bad guys.
Any financial cost is but a drop in the bucket compared to our military spending and is justifiable. It’s worth it to save lives.

me and demonic were talkin bout this the other day. that is, if you scratch the republican part, true though it may be.
more than anything else, this is what keeps me away from churches. more even than certain personal experiences ive had.
yeah, i been thrown outta church before. at the age of nine, which is the last time i ever let anyone drag me.
and yeah, we likely could save everyone, or at least most people, if we cared enough. just the us alone could probably do it.
but that would mean less cheeseburgers and designer rags. americans just couldnt have that.

Yeah I was saying we may have to make some slight sacrifices but we’ll still have our TV, air conditioning and internet access so some small sacrifices ain’t shit.

I was Just talking to my friend about something like this today.
Hes taking to many psychedelics and the weight of the world is falling down on him. I told him how when i was a kid i wanted to save the world. And i thought i was. Then i realised i couldnt. And as adolescent as that it may sound deep down i still wanna save the world. I know we can too…so i just settled on trying to change the small world around me and the people i touch. If i had the power to help them all i would too. Thinking thats socialist is just political confuse and second guess your self mumbo jumbo.
Also there are alot of people that come to mind we could help or could of helped.

Saving everyone would be a pretty fucking tall order- I mean, there are billions of people in the world who are born into circumstances where they don’t have enough to eat, die of easily curable diseases, etc. and there’s not a damn thing they can do better their circumstances. Trying to fix that would require some serious lifestyle changes.
But when it comes to actual refugees- as in, people who are fleeing wars or shit like that- it’s not that hard to make sure those people are taken care of. Where I live for instance there are a lot of refugees from Eritrea, which is a country in East Africa that has a North Korean-style psycho dictator. They’re the toughest and hardest working fuckers you’ll ever see, the only help they need or want from anyone is an opportunity to get on their feet and earn a living.
So, yeah, it’s not realistic to think that we can solve everyone’s problems. But I think it is realistic to say that we can and should be helping out anyone who’s a refugee, and there’s no excuse not to.

Yes we should Imo, because the world belongs to everyone. Governments and hard interpretation of religion get in the way and make people hate each other. If America or the UK or wherever you live went to civil war, and your kids were in danger of being blown up, you would seek help, and other countries would help you trust me on that.

as scruffy said “remember the melting pot?”
as I see it if you are not 100% native American you are more or less here because of a group of “refugees”.
good people are fleeing a horrible situation, is it our right to deny them the chance to live a happy, safe life? who knows one of these “refugees” may even end up creating the cure for H.I.V. or something of the sort, but they will never get that chance if they are not given asylum from the hell they are trying to escape.

very touchy subjectMontreal is letting in 25,000 before New Years.
and they are going to be getting 2,800$ a month to help them start their lives that’s 2,100$ more than welfare is in Quebec
my grandparents came here as immigrants from the Ukraine during WW2 so I am all for letting immigrants in.
however terrorists were not a problem back then.
I hear experts saying that less than 1 in 1000 would be a potential terrorist
so say there was a big bowl of M&M’s on the counter and just 5 of them were poisoned would you grab a handfull?
I think they should be screened and then screened again and then screened again before they are let in especialy in such mass numbers.
screening them costs a fair whack of money too. your tax payer money.
maybe coming from a country where im pay UPTO 49 cents in the dollar for taxes and arent seeing enough positive change to my own country living conditions, i dont want to weigh it down even more with refugees who probably will never work or never learn the language.
and the government is quite happy to fork over 128 million every year to house these people. if they pulled their weight, no worries let em in.
we need more cheap labor workers… you were a doctor in syria? shit no you cant be a doctor here, it isnt a goat hospital. we have standards! you can sweep the floors!
seriously we should put ‘refugees’ to work. not give them government houses and tell them they dont have to work.

This explains the current refugee screening process
http://time.com/4116619/syrian…..g-process/
“What percentage of applicants “pass” the screening process?
Just over 50%.
How long does the whole process take?
Eighteen to 24 months on average.
Who are they?
According to a senior administration official, roughly half the refugees admitted have been children. Around 25% are adults over 60. Only 2% of those admitted, the senior administration official said, have been single males of “combat age.””

According to a History class I took that’s how the melting pot idea in America began. If immigrants could make it to New Amsterdam (New York) and work they could stay. From the numbers in the above article the current refugees getting in are mostly kids and elderly. As humanitarian as that sounds, some think it’s a bottom line for the Democratic Party to set up future voters with welfare to increase future Democratic Party votes. Those refugee kids might be an investment.
