Hey Fam,

I gotta do a fucking paper for a class and you can help by answering these questions in a reply. I could chose any group of people to do a case study on so I chose Juggalos. I need at least one person to answer, so someone just fucking do it so I can finish the paper.

1) How do you recognize a Juggalo on the street if you never met them before?

2) What made you decide to become a Juggalo?

3) How do you feel about the outside world's perspective of Juggalos?

4) Has being a Juggalo influenced your social or spiritual values?

Any answers will work, I just need replies. MMFCL.

1) How do you recognize a Juggalo on the street if you never met them before?

one might argue that you cant recognize people you havent met.

if you mean identify...  the same way i would identify another other type of person, mainly overt visual and behavioral cues.

if, by recognize, you mean acknowledge...  i might say what up.  then, most likely continue on about my business.

2) What made you decide to become a Juggalo?

the proper question is:  'what made you realize you were a juggalo this whole time?'

3) How do you feel about the outside world's perspective of Juggalos?

uh, just what would that perspective be?

4) Has being a Juggalo influenced your social or spiritual values?

not much.  of course, i wasnt big on social or spiritual values to begin with.

having helped you out, howzabout elaborating on this case study?

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

1) How do you recognize a Juggalo on the street if you never met them before?

Mostly if theyre wearing hatchetgear or have like hatchetman tattoos. Face paint if theyre painted.

2) What made you realize you're a Juggalo?

The way the music speaks to me, and the love from the fam

3) How do you feel about the outside world's perspective of Juggalos?

It sucks. But its normal. People shun what they dont understand.

4) Has being a Juggalo influenced your social or spiritual values?

I definitely am a lot more laid back and friendly than i was before.

Any answers will work, I just need replies. MMFCL.

Truthfully you can't. If someone is wearing Hatchet Gear, it doesn't equal Juggalo all the time . You have to get into talking I guess.

2) What made you decide to become a Juggalo?

Its like gay folks;I didn't choose, it is just me, for better or worse.

3) How do you feel about the outside world's perspective of Juggalos?

A reinforcement of how brain washed the homo sapiens truly are.

4) Has being a Juggalo influenced your social or spiritual values?

Not really. I think the only time it affects me is wwhen I get apprehensive and protective when trying to discuss the Juggalo world with non juggalos. So in that sense it has caused some introversion.

Any answers will work, I just need replies. MMFCL.

1) How do you recognize a Juggalo on the street if you never met them before?

I don't, and I have never really tried to. I am somewhat socially awkward, so I am not the type to just come up and talk to someone based on the clothes they are wearing. I have complimented a couple of people on ICP tattoos before. Once I did it at work, and the dude didn't believe me.

2) What made you decide to become a Juggalo?

I just really liked the music. I started listening to ICP around 6th grade, and met my best friends in 7th grade because of the music. We have been best friends ever since, and I am a senior in college. To be perfectly honest, ICP and other Juggalo music is what opened my mind musically to other types of music. Before listening to ICP, I only listened to rock. Then, after listening to ICP, I started to branch into hip-hop more, and eventually I started liking a little bit of everything.

3) How do you feel about the outside world's perspective of Juggalos?

I feel that there is a very negative perspective of juggalos. Whenever I bring up ICP to coworkers or classmates I get negative responses. Like they say, all stereotypes start with a kernel of truth, but juggalo stereotypes are just that: stereotypes. The worst part is, it seems to be a culturally acceptable, maybe even culturally promoted, stereotype.

4) Has being a Juggalo influenced your social or spiritual values?

Spiritually? Absolutely not. Socially, when coupled with other experiences, it has led me to quite a bit of growth. As stated earlier, ICP and other Juggalo music led me to have a more all-encompassing, accepting view of music. In a similar way, being a juggalo has led me to have a more accepting view of people. I try and see people for who they are, not what they look like or what they wear. I am going to school to be a teacher, so it is crucial for me to look past the outside and try to understand who an individual is, what their interests are, and how I can help them be a better learner.

"having helped you out, howzabout elaborating on this case study?"

Sure thing. I'm in a writing class at Northern Illinois University and my teacher assigned a case study project where we have to choose a group of people (any group), collect data concerning an aspect of that group (I chose group values), and write a paper summarizing my findings. It's a freshman-level undergraduate class (I'm a post-baccalaureate student so I'm pissed I'm even in this class) so literally all I need to do is collect data and summarize it. The paper is so open-ended it's impossible to go wrong. The questions were written by my research group, my job was to post them here and summarize the results. You definitely helped us out with your response.

For the record, the case study will NOT be published, or even seen by anyone except me, my research group members, and my teacher. No, I'm not a journalist or some other fucker trying to use your responses for some hidden purpose. I'm just a student trying to pass this fucking class.

Piggofdoom: I really enjoyed reading your responses. I'm actually in an education program myself. I've been teaching college chemistry for six years, but I recently decided to get a license to teach in high schools which brought me to this writing class. Out of curiosity, are you going for primary or secondary ed?

Secondary Ed. I would like to get a degree in ESL, eventually get my TESOL, and teach abroad.

Honestly I think it would be kinda cool to see this published somewhere. Seeing my quote in a journal or online article or something lol

If I had the time to write a publishable paper I'd definitely give it a shot, but as it is I'm gonna have to write it in about 5 hours. There's no way its gonna turn out to be anything worth publishing, or even reading for that matter.

That seems doable. When I have a final draft finished I'll post it as a reply to this topic.

1.  I can usually spot juggalos if their wearing Juggalo merch, or Twiztid hair. Although you wouldn't be able to identity me this way. I wear plain black tees 90% of the time.

2. It wasn't a decision , it was a happening.

3. Fuck what they think. Some of my good friends hate on me for being a juggalo. But it hasnt changed me, or my decisions.

4. Spiritual- none. Social - has helped me meet great motherfuckers.

1) usually by a tshirt or necklace, normally i dont say anything. Unless someone says something to me first, then it's back to my business.

2) i liked that it was outsider shit and no one else around me understood it.

3) the outside world can fuck off. People fear what they dont understand. In the 70s it was metal, 80s it was punk. 90s it was hiphop, now its us... every generation needs a scapegoat.

4) didnt really do anyrhing for me socially or spiritually. Ive always been on my own level in that aspect of life.
