I feel like, in some circles, including some Juggalo circles, there is this idea of being proud of being ignorant. People blatantly state that they don't care about politics, that they don't read, that they dropped out in the 8th grade and all of that. Violent J himself does it at times, and I think it is dangerous. I understand that education doesn't equal intelligence, but I think people should at least strive for some sort of knowledge, and at least have a BASIC understanding of the political and judicial systems that affect them every day.
That being said: Make sure you motherfuckers vote in November. Local elections are the the most important, because those are the elections the people actually have power over, yet they have the lowest voter turnout. Remember our Congressmen and Congresswomen are the ones who are deciding to keep these bullshit laws in place. If you don't think the people can make a difference, look at Washington, Colorado, and every other place where they allow medical marijuana.

I hate the culture of ignorance as well. I can never seem to talk to anyone about anything environmental, political, scienentific etc without them looking for the nearest exit. At thesame time, i cant stand know it alls. Its very, very difficult to find an intelligent AND open-minded individual who can be humble in their demeanor. And forget it if the opposite sex is around... they will try to one up you at every turn. Im a man who hates competition.
All that being said, i dropped out in the 10th grade, i dont understand a lot of politics (and feel that no onr really does), but i do read, not as much as id like to. I am neither proud of this nor ashamed: its how my life went. You weren't there, this you cannot understand. Im also a college graduate. I dont even smoke weed anymore. I dont like wrestling, which is considered low brow entertainment, yet i love ICP and vulgar humor, which are also "low brow ".

This. Either side of the coin is annoying. I have never thought any less of a person because of the things they enjoy. People enjoy a lot of different things. If you check the lists people have made of other types of music people listen to it's astounding. Here in Omaha I only know like 2 people who give half a shit about Psychopathic, @chieflocc being one of them. It's cool having someone who listens to the music when everyone else around me hates it.

ive encountered the 'im-proud-to-cultivate-my-stupidity-cuz-im-a-juggalo-and-we-are-dumb-whoop-whoop' phenomenon. its odd, and a little funny, but there arent all that many of em. call it one in fifty, at worst.
most ninjas seem to be fairly grounded, to me. they are who they are; if they are dumb/smart, then whatever, thats how they do. they dont really front about it, they just keep on bein themselves.
this is the sort of thing that comes up, from those few that act like everything icp says or does must be taken literally.
or who see them as role models to be emulated and imitated. fuck, i dont wanna be j and shaggs, i just wanna jump around at their shows with other juggalos.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Not so much ignorance as apathy.
It's not cool to care. If you're emotional or passionate about something, people dismiss you and say you're "Whining" or "Crying." I see it too, I'm right there with ya.
" I see it too, I'm right there with ya.
That's all I was going to say so...ditto I suppose.
