Kind of sucks. Lots of memories from that site. Gives me a bit of nostalgia.
Nostalgia Thread?
I remember when I first got into ICP/Psychopathic. I used to go to Hallsofillusions.com and listen to (I think) hatchet radio. Whatever the biggest juggalo radio station was in 04/05. I remember my friends coming over in the summer, listening to Mr. Rotten Treats and PFOS2 on my brother’s stereo.
Good times, that was like 7th/8th grade.

I camped with one of the OG editors of Juggalonews at the Gathering in 2011.His name was Kristian Daffern( Daff.) He was from Wales. He was the ninja that represented “Juggalo Media” when he showed Vice magazine around the Gathering, when they reported on it about a decade ago. I remember a time myself when Juggalonews was giving Faygoluvers a run for it’s money as the #1 Juggalo news site. According to Daff, a lot of the original good editors of Juggalonews quit after a while because they were tired of trying to compete with Scottie D’s ninja skills. Daff told me, ” After a while I was like fuck it, just let Faygoluvers cover it, that’s good enough.” A few years ago I know the rapper MARS bought the site. He tried to maintain the facade that it was still a news site, but the site became littered with stories about him, and his stable of rappers, and their tours. The fact the site has gone belly up leads me to believe MARS has quit rapping or is dead broke.

- Mad Insanity Records
In 1997 Mars’ childhood friend Jason Gamino who performs under the name J RZ Tha Antichrist established Mindless Ignorance Records. The label was changed to Mad Insanity Records after it was found to be too similar to that of rapper Sugafist’s label’s name, still keeping the MIR insignia. Over the years Mars took control of the company and Mad Insanity Records went on to sign artists to CD and merchandise deals including Q Strange, Mastamind, and Ganxsta NIP. In 2008 Mad Insanity Records signed Kung Fu Vampire after Mars and KFV along with his current band lineup toured together on the Murder After Midnight tour. In 2013 the label signed Montana artist Koshir. In 2013 Mad Insanity Records signed former Reel Life Productions artist Daniel Jordan, San Jose artist Mr. Grey.
- Global Gold Graphix
Mars was hired as photographer an senior art director for Xplosive Magazine. He credited his graphic work under Ghetto Gold Graphics and his photography work under the name Always Flashin’ Photography. In 2011 he teamed up with long time friend Jessica Renee and changed the name to Global Gold Graphix to establish a wider array of clientele and absorbing Always Flashin’ Photography moniker. The company offers graphic design, photography, and video services. The firm has established themselves as one of the leading visual services in alternative hip-hop circles and has supplied artwork, photography and video production for labels like Strange Music and Psychopathic Records as well as an assortment of highly established recording artists and companies.
- Red Planet Enterprises
In 2005 Mars established Red Planet Entertainment as an umbrella company for his current and future business ventures. The name was later changed to Red Planet Enterprises after it was discovered Red Planet Entertainment was already taken by a successful media company.
- Juggalo News
In 2011 Red Planet Enterprises acquired Juggalo News, one of the most popular and longest running websites covering the horrorcore genre and similar markets after the brand was set to close its doors. Productivity tripled and website visits increased by 300% within the first three months.
- Kill Musick
In 2012 Red Planet Enterprises acquired small but semi-popular horrorcore website Kill Musick. The brand is currently in its re-development stages.
- 5 Star Booking
In 2013 Mars helped establish a booking agency under the name 5 Star Booking who’s main focus is to book and manage national tours for hip-hop artists. That same year 5 Star Booking booked the Mars & Irv Da Phenom Raw Energy tour, as well as Psychopathic Records artist DJ Clay’s Scratch The Surface tour. In 2014 5 Star added Donnie Polinske as a business partner and head booking agent. In 2014 5 Star booked Mars and Irv Da PHENOM! “Raw Energy” tour along with Bone Crusher’s “Fire & Ice” tour and Mr. Grey’s “Warpath to the Gathering”.

For the record, back in the day, RealJuggalos.com was my shit! The original owners got offered like $5K for their domain name, and took it. That’s when JuggaloNews.com surfaced. At the time, they were the top dogs. We were right up there though. Hell, I’ve been doing it so long now that I don’t remember when the tides shifted. All of the sites that @oolong-johnson mentioned were a part of Seeds of the Lotus. We were still on the come-up, so we got an honorable mention or something like that.
Anyways, Mars is neither broke, or retired from rapping. He’s good people, but maybe he just lost interest in trying to keep JN going. It’s an unbelievable time sucker, but I enjoy the hell out of it! Also, I don’t doubt that JN’s hits tripled when he took it over. At that point, nothing was happening at all on that website.
On an unrelated note, my GOTJ review goes up tonight for anyone who cares!

i used to frequent rydas.com and down4life.com, mostly cuz i knew the people runnin them.
sometimes also either juggalo.com, or realjuggalos.com; one of em i liked the other i didnt, but i cant remember which is which now.
but really, once it become clear that flh was becoming the preeminent juggalo website, there was no reason to go anywhere else.
seeds of the lotus was a mistake. woulda been fine, but a few select individuals took it as an opportunity to aggrandize themselves, chasin tours and wheedlin merch and backstage hookups. and some blatantly crooked shit that i personally found disgusting.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

JN like a lot of the other sites recently lack people to work on them. Most of the other site just have one maybe two people working on them. Where as a fully functional website needs a team of people. You need helpers or you will burn out fast.

Speaking of nostalgia… anyone remember that “Shat Ya Dead Homie” troll site talking shit about ICP or tha ____ page [can’t quite remember what the blank was] with all the juggalette’s in various stages of dress that would willingly send in their pics to be posted on the site? I thought the shat site was hilarious in a stupid sort of way [and ended in total drama when the dude had a falling out with his e-gf cuz she had herpes or some shit lmfao] and the other was both ‘entertaining’ [you know what I mean] and concerning at the same time.
Anyways, I remember hallsofillusions.com [vaguely] and remember when faygoluvers.net had the slime green color and tbh, I’m surprised the site is still up after like 15 years.
I'm the neck cutta and I'm one block away...
