Figured I would start a thread about things that are some somewhat positive shit. What’s something that is a small or big accomplishment that you have done in your life that you are proud of? Doesn’t matter if it’s big or small, just what is something you have done in your life that you are proud to say you have done?
for me, last night I FINALLY defeated Mike Tyson in NES Punch out! I know it may not sound like shit to most of you but it made me happy as hell. I was able to get a TKO in round 2 (didn’t even need to go to decision) next step is obviously to get 14-0 in the whole game (which will eventually happen) but that small step of finally being able to say I beat that fucker really made my day.
What accomplishments do you guys have?

I recently “inherited” my grandpa’s old 1995 Chevy blazer. I say “inherited” because my older brother was originally going to be the proud owner, however he passed away as well. Today my step brother and I got the bitch running after a bit of piddling and fiddling. So yeah, personal accomplishment. Whoop whoop. Also, proud of you, something I have not been able to achieve. I still have the og nes and the mike Tyson punch out. I doubt I will ever be able to beat that SOB

I’m truly sorry to hear about your losses, but it is good to hear that you were able to get that rig up and going again! Hopefully it can help honor the memories of the fallen every time you drive it!

It’s all good homie, the “losses” have been within the past few years. I just find it kind of odd that the vehicle was bestowed upon me after my juggalo brother’s passing. I guess like Fred was telling me “fix this bitch that your bro didn’t” especially since it was immediately after I was rear ended and sent head first into an suv. Strange shit. On the NES accomplishments though, the only NES game I’ve ever beaten by my self with no help from anyone is Kirby’s adventure

Skratchie here knows his shit. Homie beat me at Marble Madness lol!
This is no where near as big an accomplishment, but a couple months ago I beat and then got 100% of the secrets in Super Mario Galaxy…. in comparison, my brother actually beat The Lost Levels aka Super Mario Bros 2 (original) when he was tripping on Robitussin.
Accomplishments? I feel uprooting my very young family from upstate NY to a random spot in Colorado and thriving for almost 5 years is pretty important. Did it with not much money, and minimal planning. It worked out better than we predicted.
I quit college in 2001 because I couldn’t afford it anymore. After living life, I went back and finished up in 2010. The degree isnt worth much, but I just couldnt stand to see it dangling there, unfinished.
Also, I completely paid off my student loan years back. I have zero debt. I may not be middle or upper class, but at least i dont have debt.
Also, i am super lucky to have never lost a fistfight. I’m not a tough guy, but I’ve won like 20 scuffles. I am now mostly a pacifist, and I want to retire with my perfect record lol. I wont try and pull a Michael Jordan with The Washington Wizards thing lol

This past year my music has been a huge accomplishment, just recording it and getting it out there.. I was in a slump and hadnt released anything for several years..
My mental health has also been a huge accomplishment.. i’ve generally been in my best state of mind since i 1st went skitso in late ’14, slowly getting more normal..
video games, haha.. i’m about to win the world series of “Ken Griffeys winning run” normal season mode! never even finished a season before.. Also, ive beat the “lost levels” of super mario from the “all stars” compilation.. There’s a island-explorer/city-builder game called “Island Experiment” and I’m embarrassed to say how long I was playing it and clearing out land.. lets just say it was over a month..

Mr @Skratchie, kudos for a positive thread
Congrats on your accomplishments fellas.
For me im going to have to say owning our home is a huge accomplishment for us. We bought her grandparents hoarder house for $1,600. She spent the good part of two weeks cleaning out the clutter. After that we started demolition…
left side
inside the front door
DEMOLITION of three small rooms
Upstairs bedroom
slowly putting it all back together
inside the front door new
right side of house, new siding
New master bathroom, is actually where the door is in picture 2 and 3
coming along but a long way to go.

Props, dude. I wish I was still handy. I grew up rugged and doing lots of hard labor for my dad, but he never taught me much. He owned his own electrical company, and I did many jobs with him, but I haven’t retained much info.
I’d like to build a house like I helped my dad do when I was a kid, but this Colorado area is so goddamned expensive.

Thank you sir.
My dad started his own construction company and wanted me to join in with him. He was a severe alcoholic and his work history was totally hit and miss. The guys that would hire him weren’t worth anything. He kept getting jobs with guys that wouldn’t want to pay him or guys that wasted their whole checks every day after work at the local bar. I skipped out on all that because I didn’t want to follow that path. Would have been nice to learn these things hands on instead of all the googling I’m doing now. Much trial and error, man.

My dad is a highly interesting man, despite his many flaws. He was an alcoholic since babyhood (child rapist/murderer father filled his bottle with alcohol to shut him up)… around the year I was born, he finally sobered up for a decent time… over ten years. When my mom (his third wife) left him, I was a teen, and he went back to drinking. So did she. Anyway, LONG story short… my dad lol… I could go on all day.
He retired well off. Not rich, per se. But smart and well off. Buried cash in the yard. Owns land. He never has given me anything extra for free. Broke me nose once. Anyway. May go visit him this summer but I have GOTJ in mind.

Just wanted to pop in and say I love this thread idea. My question threads were always a way for people to talk about themselves without feeling like a narcissist. We need more threads like these.
Personally, I am just happy to be completely debt free. We live cheap. Double wide trailer. No internet(capt phones) or cable. Not a lot of eating out.
We are fucking making it though. So I’m grateful for that. No credit card or student loan debts.

$1,600 is legit. We have a Youngstown address but are totally on the outskirts. Its undesirable. Her grandparents bought it to keep the neighborhood decent. They own 2 lots between us and the corner and 6 the opposite direction. They let it sit vacant for many years. We had to clean raccoon/squirrel shit out of the hallway upstairs. We completely gutted it from top to bottom and found one mercury dime. Most valuable part of the house. We tore out all the old plaster and went ham on updating everything. I googled wiring, plumbing, drywall and havent killed myself yet. Complete top to bottom new everything. Its not near worth what all we have put into it, but its home. Her grandparents live across the street, her father down a block and a half and her brother lives the road behind us. Its a good starter home till her dad passes then were moving.

Dude this is a hilarious story. Reminds me of my attitude towards work sometimes: I’m expecting another bullshit battle, then I get there and something great happens… I get a raise, or meet a stranger that makes my day, etc.

I love talking about myself, lol. I’m no narcissist, but I’m confident enough to be aware that I have a fascinating life story so far.
Yeah we never had cable, my wife and I. A couple years ago we decided, hey why not? So we got it, and it fucking sucked. What is the point? It cant compete with Netflix, Vudu, the internet, books and the outdoors. Only thing I ever watched was occasional NBA and NFL, and I’m not even really big on sports. . . So we tried to cancel it. They claimed we signed a TWO year contract. So we were locked into paying that shit for that long. Never again.
My dad always told me not to get a credit card. I listened to him for 90% of my life. Because my oldest brother had massive debt. However, he and I are like night and day when it comes to money smarts. So I decided to get a credit card two years ago. I pay it asap every time over the phone app. It is super easy. My credit peaked at 816, now it’s around 770 (our credit went down after we inquired about buying a house… i dont get it, either). But yeah, it is pretty helpful, actually. When we flew to England last October, my dad had zero credit so he couldnt book shit. Mine was stellar, so I could.
I’ve learned that adults really arent nearly as fucking wise as we made them out to be as kids. Trust me on this: because now I’m an adult, too buahahahh!!!

a few months ago I think i might have saved this kids life outside of a Chipotle restaurant… he was having some sort of seizure – heart attack… I was walking by smoking a cigarette and noticed him freaking the fuck out. I saw a bunch of people walking by staring at him in shock and they just kept on walking by like it didn’t effect them… I just knew at that point once I saw like 7 or 8 people walking by like it wasn’t nothing that I had to do something.
I went to college for 4 years… one of the classes that I took was… this class that you could take to become a paramedic (Jumpsteady influenced me to do this, I thought it would be a righteous thing to do) so I graduated from that class with flying colors even got my certified card for CPR and I can’t remember what else but the whole class was about saving peoples lives and becoming a paramedic.
anyway I put my cigarette out and walked over to him and started talking to him trying to calm him down… I immediately realized I should call 911, so I did… I was yelling at the operator on the phone Saying you need to get here right the fuck now! they were like calm down! I was as calm as I could be told them the address where we were… and the Ambulance showed up in like 5 minutes…
I was there with this kid trying to calm him down, talking to him trying to get to know him, it looked like he was about to stop breathing… it was one of the craziest things… anyway I got to know this kid (who was from las vegas, visiting his sister here) and I used my skills to try to calm him down… got to know him as best as I could for those 5 minutes, which seemed like forever… i think maybe he might have been having a brain aneurysm, it was that serious… he was on a bench… i was literally kneeling down kind of by him and kept talking to him, looking him in his eyes, telling him that he was going to be alright… during this whole thing people walking by were noticing what was going on, a small crowd started to form… anyway I’m happy I Did something instead of ignoring it… i don’t know if i actually saved his life or not, but I’m proud of the fact that I took action while others just walked by like it was nothing…
the ambulance and paramedics arrived, some of them talked to me, while the others helped him… they took him away and went home… his shaking and crazy heavy breathing seemed to have died down a little bit by the time they arrived but i was Shook like a muthaphuckka thinking to myself “hell no i don’t want to see this kid die, fuck that”…
taking that Paramedic Class was one of the best decisions i ever made in my life… quick back story i was tripping on mushrooms one night and went the peak of the mushroom high was gone and it was downhill, i started to receive all of these psychedelic revelations and i told myself that i would become a paramedic to save peoples lives.
That might no seem like a personal accomplishment, but I’m glad I did something and helped a total stranger… the kid was shaking, struggling to breath and crying… i couldn’t just walk by or stand there like others, i had to do something…
i still plan on becoming a paramedic… it’s one of my life goals, but there’s a lot more I need to do to be accepted and hired.
a few other honorable mentions…
becoming a bar tender… learning and remembering how to make mix drinks was hard for me, pouring someone a draft beer or making a whiskey/coke or rum/coke or vodka/cranberry is easy… it’s those fucking crazy mix drinks that was hella hard to remember but I did it.
Hooking up with Hella Hot Chicks and SuicideGirls I’ve had sex with a lot of beautiful girls… I’m not trying to brag but it feels damn good to get neden from a really Sexy bitch… like you just feel On Top Of The World like no one can fuck with you when you’re getting pussy from a hella fine bitch, dude… i wish i could somehow prove it to you people, but yeah… I’ve had a crazy life and I’m Still Pimpin’ and Mackin’… playa playa!
No One, and I mean No One has ever been able to beat me at Mortal Kombat 1 & 2 & 3 (I’m talking about the Arcade versions, the Sega Versions of MK1&2, and of course the SNES versions) hella proud of that… SUB-ZERO ALL DAY!
My NEW ALBUM “HALLUCINOGENIC PSYCHEDELIC LOVECRAFT” it’s 96% done… I think I might be ready to upload it in a few days on the 14th (my 36th birthday)… Very Very extremely Proud of this album. Real Black Magic. Real Witch Craft. I’m listening to it right now, and it’s the most Evil music I’ve ever heard in my life… it’s more than a rap album though… it’s a Psychedelic Spiritual Experience… I’m working on three more songs… and also working on A music video… it’s going to be Dope… i can’t wait to finally be done with this album because it’s been so crazy working on this album, so much crazy shit has happened to me through the process of recording these songs to complete this album and make it perfect. it’s like that one Esham song where he said ” when you rap about death, it really follows you like every other breath “… true shit main, Any i believe i definitely stepped up my lyrical game and killed this shit…
Also… I used to drive a 1977 cutlass supreme (it was puke green)… me and my friends named it the “Frankenstein the drive-by machine”… one time I out ran a Cop car chasing me… Crazy most intense moment of my life
