The sequel to the best thread ever!
Okay so I’ve mentioned that despite some unbelievable things I’ve experienced, I’m still about 60% a skeptic. Like I know that there are things that cannot be explained. But a lot has to do with the mind, I think. We can only see this illusion of reality from our own eyes and judge them from our own experiences. So here’s a slight experience that I felt tonight.
I have two jobs. One is a janitor
. Going from building to building and cleaning. I get factories, schools, Inns, restaurants, auto dealerships, you name it.
One place I get is a plastic surgeon.
I had only cleaned the place about five times before I trained a buddy to do it, since he lives closer it makes sense for gasoline reasons. He was let go months later, but said the place spooked him. I just laughed because he smokes way too much marijuana for his anxious persona. Eventually I trained our friend, a hot lil number we’ll call D. She still cleans it today, but I had to cover it for her tonight.
She has been telling me intensely that she feels the plastic surgeon is haunted. Things will slam, she says. Whispers in a certain room. She took an ambiguous yet genuinely spooky cell pic in broad daylight last summer of an abstract humanoid figure in the window of the “whispering corner”. The corner is an office on the side which has the main operating room and recovery room. We have to use a specific cleaner to sterilize and clean up the occasional plasma and flesh chunks off the linoleum floor. Its a harsh chemical that can melt skin. Just tonight id cleaned up more red and yellow plasma than any other time…
Anyway, she HATES it there. She literally ran out last week because she forgot her headphones to tune out the supposed wicked sounds. Every other account she’s fine in, even in the early dark a.m.
Anyway, I go in tonight. My wife texts me as I enter, jokingly as she’s good friends with D, “watch out for ghosts!”
I reply “I ain’t scurred.”
Then, immediately, BAMMM!!!!j
From behind me in the recovery room, where the patients go to heal after breast aaugmentation, biopsies, nose jobs, transplants, etc, SOMETHING (I don’t know what could’ve made that sound), just fucking made itself known in the loudest most primal manner. It was like a ghost read my text and said “you’re scurred now, faggot. Because this is MY HOUSE.”
When I’ve heard rhythmic pipe banging solo in the college basement at my other job, I wasn’t nearly that startled. The timing and perceived aggression of the noise was unmistakable.
I did my usual mental reasoning to whatever it was that I knew it was in charge here, but I will not be bullied and just need to do some fuggin custodial bullshit. I did not hear from it again. When I ran my vacuum later I felt totally watched and loathed, and even shut it off because I heard, thought I heard, FUCKING HORRIBLE MUSICAL NOTES over my disconcerting vac sounds. That seemed to rise with it in volume, challenging me again.

However I know from the past that I’m prone to hearing demented music in my mind to accompany distinct stress symphonies in my life. The music I almost am certain is parr of my rather FUCKED brain chemistry defenses.
But that slam was unmistakable. Sometimes you just know when you catch some dominant residual energy. I’m glad I won’t be cleaning there again for awhile. Next time I’ll take what D and my buddy say a little more seriously I guess.

That’s a pretty wild fuckin story. I’ve always personally taken the notion of ghosts or spirits to be fictitious. It’s not that I feel people are lying or that it’s completely ludicrous. I just personally have never seen any paranormal activity at all and I like to see to believe. I also don’t believe in an afterlife really so I find it hard to believe in a spiritual manifestation.
With that being said I imagine that would be a scary ordeal. That would definitely be an eye opener for me. Like if there are ghosts how do they come to be. Is it the leftover essence of a passed human? Would there be animal ghosts? I’m definitely not 100% sure that there is no heaven or hell, but I choose to live my life thinking it’s less likely to be true than not. If there was though, why would someone be stuck on this material plain?

I feel you here. I don’t believe in the “traditional” interpretation of ghosts either. . I have some other much longer and more disturbing stories that are baffling, including seeing two apparently dead apparitions simultaneously with my wife in NC. But I’ve already yapped those tales out lol.. read the og Paranormal thread on here for those…
I read a supposed factual book for young adults called “Phantom Animals” years ago about ghost animal experiences. More than just ghost dog n cat, there’s stories of a murderous dog-slaying gh9st kangaroo and a talking ghost mongoose living in a dudes attic lol… farfetched indeed! But entertaining.
My mother in law is a retired teacher, now she dabbles in being a pet psychic. Honestly I think she’s fucking lost it hahahaha but people go for it. She isn’t a snakeoil salesman either; she truly believes she has trained herself to talk to animals, living and dead. Its uncomfortable for me to be around, as I just want to scream CAN YOU HEAR THAT GHOST COW DROPPIBG YOU THAT STREAM OF BULLSHIT??! But I’m a polite fella.

If someone helps you or connects with you through means you can’t understand, why does it always have to be a dead person? Seriously….is god that fucking bored? Do you think life is meant to only have a certain few advance and the rest stick around to watch us in the fucking shower or something? Not saying there isn’t anything beyond life, cause i believe there is….I don’t think they’re floating around waiting to scare the shit out of us, though, or hope we as the living can redeem their souls for them….That’s some goddamn horror movie shit, right there.

next time your around her with a ‘client’, when she asks the owner the pets name [instead of divining it from the pet directly], thats the moment to call her out.

I am a firm believer in the Infrasound explanations of paranormal. There is absolute scientific evidence to the effects and the causes as opposed to the speculatory nature of the “science” of ghost hunting. For more info, if you are so inclined, (It will remove some of that childhood magic and mystery you may have) google Coventry University lecturer Vic Tandy. He has done a lot of research in this. Places where people feel or see ghosts have been narrowed down to a root cause of Infrasound at around the 18 hz range (just below audible levels) and removing or fixing the source, like oiling a ventilation fan, or applying sound suppression to machinery that causes this “sound” instantly seems to “make the ghosts go away”. Artificially producing infrasound, he would make people see or feel ghosts. It’s really all in the mind. It’s an evolutionary survival trick. Tigers, earthquakes, volcanos, and some other things that caused harm to people produce this low range sound. Evolutionary wise, those who responded with para-sympathetic actions were more likely to survive and therefor more likely to pass on their genes.
Anyway, if you want to read more about it, click on the link in this post.

Excellent information, holmes.
And Scruff, as much as I don’t care for the woman, I’ve decided just t9 humor her and let her have this little distraction. If people want to believe her that their pet tortoise named Rutabega still loves them despite being molested to death by the owner, then more power to her. She is loony all around. She just converted from general christian to baptist a year ago, which is to me like deciding to not just leap off the deep end but to mash potato down the plank and then cannonball off into the void of lunacy.

The Milky Way contains at least 100 billion stars and may have up to 400 billion stars. We can only see a fraction of the Universe, even with our most powerful instruments. The most current estimates guess that there are at least 200 billion in the Universe, each of which has hundreds of billions of stars. Based on what we’ve seen so far, most stars are likely to have planets, and based on what we’ve seen in the inner solar systems of the ones that do, a large fraction of them are likely to have more rocky planets in their inner solar systems than even our own has. With at least 200 billion galaxies out there (and possibly even more), we’re very likely talking about a Universe filled with around 10^24 planets, or, for those of you who like it written out, around 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets in our observable Universe.
I know that has nothing to do with Life on those planets but the probablility of our planet being the only one with life is so amazingly small that I have to agree with @chieflocc

In the apartments I use to live in there was a haunted “shed” across a field. the whole area, Including the apartment and the hotel by it were part of this farm way back in the day. Well one day the farmer who owned the land came home apparently in rage came home and stabbed hiswife and set his house and land on fire. Him and a little kid also got killed in that fire. People say they have seen burnt human like figures standing in the parking lot of the hotel. The creepy thing is: one morning I woke up and looked out the window like I always did and I say 2 brown burned looking human shaped figures. I jumped like 10 feet back on account of being freaked out then I slowly looked back outside and they were gone. The apartments I lived in always had a terribly negative vibe. Like a gloomy air. Bad shit happens there all the time and its not even the ghetto. My neighbor beat his kids and wife then I saw him jump of the balcony, howl in pain (he landed on his back) and then run away from the pigs. He got caught though. My sister was shot at there too and it was just bad. They knocked down the shed and shit around it for land last year.
If you wanna read more about it http://www.milwaukeeparanormal…..aukee.html Its the howard johnson inn one.
I am a skeptic though. It was probally Jinn
My brain is gone, my brain is gone, say no more my brain is gone
