We currently reside in western upstate NY. My wife is off work for a few weeks and I’m trying to take a few days off before I start my 2nd job again in late September. We are wanting to go to the closest ocean area possible, it appears to be NJ. We want to introduce our 1 year old to the ocean while we get the chance is all.
So the question is: any juggalos from Jersey or familiar with it? Know of any dope spots to go off the beaten path? Any family friendly areas? How are places after Hurricane Sandy?
We’d been driving five hours at least, and the most about six if we head to Atlantic City area south. Any suggestions let us know schmoes! Twould be greatly appreciated! Itz only gonna be a two night hotel stay. Normally we’d camp but the baby ya know. We need all thur comfort we can get after a long ass drive.

I live in Ocean County less than 10 miles from the beach, I’d say if you’re just looking for a place to actually enjoy the shore environment and have everything you need in a short distance from where you’re staying, look into Point Pleasant or the surrounding areas. The more popular areas like Seaside and Long Beach Island attract a lot of shitty people in general, Pt. Pleasant is chill and tourist friendly though. Boardwalk is always a good time too.

My ex’s parents had a house in Ocean City, New Jersey. I got in the car thinking I was headed to Maryland (which has a much closer Ocean City) and four hours later I was balls deep in her sister. The beach was nice though.

Yea Ocean City MD is way more fun. Virginia Beach is even more fun than that. The Outer Banks in NC tho is the bees knees. Especially during Biker Week, what a crazy time that is.

Yeah I’ve done the NC beach thing a lot.. Emerald Isle, Atlantic Beach, Surf City… its way too far for us to drive with the baby and we can’t afford a plane… got a funny story about the bike week in Myrtle Beach… ever hear of Bear Hunt? We didn’t lol… gay bear dudes auctioning off skinny dudes in viking helmets … crazy shit…
Anyways, gonna do some more research on NJ for now but its looking kinda bland after what you guys say.

I think Ocean City would be ok for family type shit, but if I remember correctly its a dry island, which blows ass. I had a good time at Rehoboth beach in Delaware, but I spent very little time on the beach itself, more so at a beach house this girls dad owned. Man Ill fuck anything walking for a trip to the beach wont I. No shame in my game baby.
Atlantic Beach in NC is pretty cool I forgot about that one. Its straight for a getaway weekend cuz its mad cheaper then Outer Banks and the hotels are usually pretty empty. That and its not too far away if you live in VA.

Far from bland, the Jersey shore done up right is always a good time, like I said just depends on what you’re trying to do. If you’re looking for a nice relaxed time with the wife seriously check out Point Pleasant, there’s everything from the boardwalk (much like Myrtle Beach’s boards/Pavilion) to a bitchin comedy club, awesome eats and plenty of other entertainment adults and kids can both enjoy. If you’re looking to party and end up with some strange random bitch squeezed between you and your wife, go to Seaside lol.

@OCJ yeah we camped at one of those NC beaches and it was great, however me and the girl we had with us got INSANELY I’ll the next day. She was kinda bad but I was so sick I almost died. Neither my wife or the girls son got sick tho. But yeah I lost 14 lbs in a week.
@voice we’re looking into point pleasant. After work I’ll be researching hardcore lol. We are hoping for a random drunk broad to make it our way lol… just like old times lol
