In the state of Nebraska they already decriminalized small amounts of marijuana (<1oz). It’s officers continuing to arrest people unjustly that is the burden on their taxpayers.
Additionally, Nebraska has an active hemp program that is equally unlawful in the eyes of the federal govt. Maybe Nebraska shouldn’t be shitting where it eats.
Oklahoma, they allow the sale of several fireworks that are banned in the state of Colorado like Roman candles that can be dangerous and also cause fires that lead to the loss of millions of dollars in property. Should Oklahoma be responsible for the burden this puts on Colorado residents?
The new budget passed by Congress specifically stated they won’t interfere with states that have valid medical MJ laws and froze DEA funding that would be used for that purpose. I doubt there’s any stomach at the Federal level for this lawsuit, regardless of the fact that it references recreational weed laws. It may, however result in a Federal ruling favorable for legal weed nationwide.

Do they have a case?
Unfortunately. Here’s all 83 pages of it.

Seems to be based on the inconvenience of the bordering states’ increased law enforcement costs as Colorado pot spills over the borders. About a dozen U.S. states still have anti-sodomy laws and San Francisco’s not going anywhere, so maybe Nebraska and Oklahoma will get it in the ass.
