Don't forget your bug spray at the Gathering this year. Don't let the ticks win. Lyme disease is not fun. (Actually, I don't know from personal experience but I've read about it and we even have 1 or 2 forum members with it).

I had that problem once and I had to move and throw out my mattress and I had to have all my clothes/books/collectables put in a freezer for 48 hours cause the cold kills those bastards and they can hide almost everywhere.

Yeah, it sucks. We had a friend move in because he had nowhere else to go. He brought his mattress. One night when we were all hanging out I noticed something crawling on the bed. I told the roomie about it and we checked the mattress when dude was gone. It was horrifying. It looked like he had been sleeping on that bed with bedbugs for years.
My roommate owned the house, so she booted him and had to have the whole house heat treated twice. It was expensive as hell. I will never bring in furniture that people have thrown out, no matter how nice it looks. I know a lot of people who do, but I am never dealing with that shit ever again.

universal heath care does not work
I am Canadian and pay $100's a month on pills that these doctors say I need
they are not covered unless you have health insurance or your employer does and covers you
but if you get sick your covered they wont turn you down. you have cancer they will take care of you, you brake your arm it's covered but you got to wait in line and everyone who was there first gets priority
if you have insurance even in Canada it's like a hall pass you do not wait and those who do not wait get better service.
so here in Canada even if its free it's better to have insurance because what's free still costs you

I dealt with bed bugs a year ago. It was one of the worst experiences of my life... and trust me I've had some humdingers lol
Lyme disease from tickets affected me worse in the long run, but the brief months we spent with bedbugs was almost as bad. It will fuck you up psychologically on a level that I wasnt accustomed to.
I could write for hours about bed bugs. I will say this: unless it is a fresh invasion and you have quarantined it early, then you will NOT be able to get rid of them. Dont believe me? Then scour the internet for hours and days and try every homemade remedy and store chemical that you can find. Try everything. It will not work. They won against us. The landlords thank fucking christs asshole paid to get rid of ours. When time came for security deposit we didnt even ask, we were just like "keep it cus I know the bed bug spraying was a mint".
I was actually going to write some non fiction short stories about how little bugs have affected my life. They win. We lose in the end.
As far as healthcare.. man I wish I had some.
