I fuckin' HATE those commercials. Since the very beginning.

They started out looking like 1st generation Anonymous propaganda clips, all static-y, wearing hoodies and trying to make it look like they were hacking into the feed... NOW, they got fucking ALIENS and forest monsters!!! Oh and weak ass attempts to prop up gap toothed bitch's music careers like in that swipe it left bullshit.

And good luck trying to find out where they get their funding from. Are WE paying for these ads as part of some tax payer funded health initiative? Fucked if we can find out! All *I could ever find was names of "organizations" and secret donor groups.

They're tactic seems less about preventing NEW smokers than it does creating a generation of people that think it's okay to "smoker shame" people. Take that "swipe left" shit. You see a girl with a nice smile and hot body...? And you're saying you wouldn't fuck her just cuz she has a cigarette in her hand in the picture? FOH!

Oh and then there's the "Tips from (or to) a former smoker"... Ugh! THOSE are the ones that just set me off! The one with the mother in a hospital bed with her son "bathing" her with a sponge... with added sound effect of sploshy, gross sounds and visibal bruises (but anyone with a brain can see that those are bruises from the IVs). "He has to help me with bathing, dressing and feeding". "Feeding"?! Damn, you fat bitch. Animals get "feedings"! You're telling me you can't raise a fuckin' hand to your face? Then there's the dumb as rocks bitch who says to camera, "I smoked while I was pregnant.... my tip for you is, open the window so your baby can here you better." Fuck. You. Who the FUCK doesn't know not to smoke while pregnant?! Then there's the one with the wimpy fuck talking about, "First it was my left leg... then it was my right leg..." and then? Got any more legs? And if you bother to look up the condition he and the other lady had that causes them to lose limbs, it's a fuckin' GENETIC DEFECT within their own bodies that caused it (albeit made worse by smoking). Or how about all the fat fucks they put on? The Indian (I used to like dancing), the father with diabetes (and lost his eye an' shit), the waitress (who apparently couldn't QUIT her job before she got cancer)... ALL of whom had much bigger (literally) health problems that may have (ya think?) aggravated the problem?

Oh and then the short one with some lady blowing smoke rings sitting on a park bench at a children's park... WHO THE FUCK DOES THAT?!? I'm pretty sure that only ASSHOLES do that. Even the reddest of necks know/try not to smoke around little kids! "My tip to you is, don't be afraid to tell people not to smoke around your kids". Well NO SHIT! (Completely negating any part of the conversation about not bringing your kids to a place where people are smoking in the first place).

The one's that REALLY set me off are about this bullshit concept of THIRD HAND smoke. IOW, simply going into a room where someone had lived, moved out and is no longer there somehow giving you cancer... BULL. SHIT.

Ay, smoking IS bad for you. I wish I hadn't started. Yadda yadda. But this garbage of painting smokers as rude, stupid, dispassionate assholes is what makes other fucks feel like they are allowed to say shit to you when you are just minding your own business. "You know how stupid you look with that cigarette? I'm betting not nearly as stupid as you STILL look after I've put it out... bitch."

And don't even get me started on the "flavor debate". That somehow flavored cigarettes are supposed to be "targeting" kids. Fuck you, maybe *I want grape flavored cigs! Or this bullshit campaign to try to make vaporizers seem just as bad as regular cigs. They're just pissed that vaporizers COMPLETELY destroy everyone else's arguments against smoking because there's no chance of giving SOMEONE ELSE cancer from second hand.

Fuck those people. How about taking the production budgets for all those fucking aliens and monsters and dumbass music videos and using it to FIND A CURE?! Or paying for research or treatment of cancer patients? We're talking hundreds of thousands of dollars PER commercial. The money to MAKE them and the money to put them on during the fuckin' SUPER BOWL.

I don't watch TV a whole lot, so it doesn't bother me so much, except when I try to watch South Park, so it's on like every commercial break. Not on SpongeBob though! Never seen those commercials on Nick. 

But yeah, I ended up just sayin' fuck it and just bought the South Park 1st season, no commercials, no bullshit ads, and funny ass intros, A Fireside Chat With Matt & Trey. 

I don't think those commercials have an impact anyway. People would watch that, then light up a smoke anyways.
