I know how its created, but listening without headphones i can only hear laurel and it took me along time to hear yanny just once.

Basically just depends how you listen to it. When I first heard it last night, it was on my nice studio speakers which has a good frequency range. I initially heard “Yanny” but quickly was able to hear both at the same time. When I heard it again just playing it on my phone, all I could hear was Laurel. It’s a frequency thing.
