This is a topic that Faygoluvers did an article on about a year or so ago and now I want to rant on it. The article talked about a women who finally got to see her favorite band, Social Distortion, and how it was probably going to be the only chance she had and she had to drive a long ass way to get there (I think…). Meanwhile, if ICP is your favorite band there is a chance you have seen them over 10 times, met them 4 times, have over 20 albums of music to choose from etc.
The Juggalo culture has been around for about 25 years now, and we have reached a point in time where our true colors show.
I work at a record store and interact with all types of music fans. Again, many I talk too have never seen their favorite band and some never even had the opportunity. Most of what we sell is classic rock, punk, metal and rap and the most popular era’s are the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. When you spend all day talking to every type of fan, you see the patterns in what lasts the test of time. There are bands like The Clash who only released 5 albums and are considered by some to be the greatest punk band in the world. There are bands like Derek and The Dominoes who only released one album and the owners of said album are 100% content with it. The Beatles are still the best selling band of all time and sell more records than anybody, and they were only around for 8 years. They also had a breakup messier than ICP and Twiztid’s. Even though Jerry Garcia has been dead for 22 years, we still get passionate Deadheads who come into the store. The dead only released two albums in the 80’s, but they still had a strong tour following from their fans. Can you imagine how much Juggalos would bitch if ICP only released 2 albums in a decade?
We are now at the point where ICP is no longer a new thing, this is a now classic band that has made a name for themselves and continues to release albums on a frequent basis. ICP has signed 20+ artist on psy and now Twiztid has their own copy/paste label. Not to mention we had Strange music, Suburban Noize and many other smaller labels. The Gathering is always packed with hordes of artist, all taking most of their influence from ICP, the band that brought us together. ICP and the Juggalos have turned this into a massive genre that now has reached over-saturation and has turned us into fat piggies. In 95, you had about 8 ICP albums, 1 shaggy and 1 Project Born on psy. Juggalos were overjoyed to have these records but now we have hundreds of psy and horrorcore albums, so anything ICP does today just isn’t up to our standards.
We now shame ICP for being around for so long and never giving their artists a chance (even though those artist wouldn’t exist or even be known if it wasn’t for ICP). We hail Twiztid as the new “Kings” because they sell cooler merch, can pump out more eps per year and don’t try to make us think about the world. When we get excellent albums like The Mighty Death Pop and The missing Link, we turn our nose in disgust because it’s not the Amazing Jeckel Brothers and we act like The Terror Wheel and Beverly Killz are better than anything they have done in the past 15 years. We bitch and whine about the quality of our FREE hallowicked singles, and mutter that ICP should just quit because they have lost it. When J wants to be passionate and proactive about the legal struggles that Juggalo’s experience, we say it’s a publicity stunt and that J is forcing everyone to do so. We refuse to buy any Axe Murder Boyz albums while they are on Psychopathic, but now that MNE has them, we say they are being treated well and supported.
This goes beyond ICP, look at The Kottonmouth Kings. KMK is one of the most important underground juggalo bands there ever was, and they are treated like straight up dog shit today. Instead of being supported after they had their label embezzled from them, we spit on them because Johnny Richter was cool with the guy who fucked them over. I just took a look at their facebook page and it’s just people bitching and bitching about how KMK doesn’t have enough music (25 albums btw!), posts and how they need to come to (blank) town or else they suck. (Sorry that KMK doesn’t update their facebook as much as Jamie Madrox! Again, some bands don’t even have a large social media presence and release an album every 5 years.) If KMK were to officially breakup, their whole discography would be discredited instead of valued for what great music it was and still is. You know how hard it is for a rap group to stay together for 20 years???? One of the most popular rap groups, NWA, only have 4 albums and they are still respected as the pioneers they were. People don’t give a damn anymore that Eazy and Dre had beef, or even Ice Cube. If Eazy E was Violent J and Dre was Shaggy, people would be praising that Eazy got AIDS and bitching that Shaggy needs more albums.
My basic point is that Juggalos have shown that they will turn their back on ICP and any other artist if they feel that the band is not doing financially or publicly well. And that is fucking sad.
All good things must come to an end, and Juggalos don’t understand that they are ruining this great thing we have had for an irrationally long time. This kind of following just doesn’t happen often, especially for a rap group, and y’all are taking it for granted.
Now I myself am pretty much done with Twiztid. You may call me a hypocrite, but not only do I genuinely feel that Twiztid has betrayed the band I love most and taken advantage of the Juggalos, but I don’t discredit Twiztid for what they have done. They may have needed ICP but they schooled it and in my opinion, more than deserved to have their own label. But I saw the greedy bastards that came through after a few years and I am done with the future of MNE. But I still 100% respect Twiztid’s overall career and their music. Much like how I hate every Kiss album after they took off their makeup, but the 70’s albums are still amazing. In fact, it’s not even Twiztid’s music that gets me, it’s their blatant attempts to leech off ICP that has made me sick of them. Not just something stupid like Jamie talks more than Mono or because their old shit is better. I don’t believe they are real Juggalos, and that’s that. There’s no way you can deny that ICP actually does love the Juggalo and not only when there is a sale going on.
So if you don’t dig the 2nd deck and prefer to be nostalgic, cool, just don’t disrespect the very people who gave you this world and remember to check your privilege. Whether you are Psy or MNE, you still are spoiled with mass amounts of content, updates, tours and are closer to your favorite band than any other music fan.
Bottom line is don’t fuck with the wicked clowns. What about when the world’s like fuck us, kill us, what will ya be? What About when i’m 103, what will ya be? I sure as fuck will be down with the clown, but I know some of you bitches can’t handle ICP anymore.
J was right. You give someone a dollar everyday, and that one time you forget matters more than all those dollars you gave them.
Respect the history of music you spoiled ass mother fuckers. Especially when it is in your blood.

I’m a Juggalo, not a fan. Psy & I share a world, and I root for them like I root for myself. TEAM NINJA, all the way. For me being down means that on certain issues we’ll have to agree to disagree, & that’s fine with me.
P.S.- Next time u wanna fuck the forum in the ass maybe be kind enough to give it a reach around,

I bet when the beatles broke up, the world surrounding the fans was similar to this icp twiztid rift with juggalos…usually when things die, years later is when these artists get their praise, even if they didnt get much during the period of time they were around… shaggy even said he should off himself just so J can get paid.
As far as twiztid goes, i kinda always felt that they never respected the juggalos like icp does…and how they went about the march situation really struck a nerve…but im over that now…they made some fr3sh music and def schooled juggaloism, but they definitely made it seem like it was all for personal gains.
I personally love the 2nd deck and they manage to make every year fr3sh for us with their specialty shows and the gathering and what not…they are scrubs just trying to make us happy, and thats all a fan could ask for…i kinda look at twiztid as preps trying to cater to the scrubs, gnome sayin.
Anyways, its always been a juggalo thing to be bitchy…they think they know what icps next move should be, instead of allowing them to bring their fr3sh flava to our ears…you would think they would of learned this when the 6th dropped ..everyone thought it was gonna be the darkest wickedest thing ever to peirce our ear drums, and then they bitched and moaned when it wasnt what they expected…i for one was happily surprised that it was the opposite of what we thought…it proved they our their own beings and we should allow them to do themselves, cuz thats what brought us into the realm of icp to begin with.

If social distortion is your favorite band and you haven’t seen them live it’s because you were a late arrival. They don’t exist anymore, or rather hadnt for a long time. I significantly prefer hok to Twiztid but I’ve never seen hok live. I significantly prefer lotus to icp or Twiztid, and I’ve seen them 3 times. Two at a gotj and one in 2001 in a local venue.
Not getting to see a band you like sucks but it’s not something that is owed to you. I love nirvana but guess who I’ll never get to see live? Doesn’t mean i think foo fighter fans are spoiled. They’re lucky.
We’re lucky.
The Juggalo culture has been around for about 25 years now, and we have reached a point in time where our true colors show.
Our “true colors” are human nature. We take things for granted and expect things to last forever. When the rams moved away from LA some of my family were pissed. “How could they betray us”. It’s dumb. We as a species are often dumb.
I work at a record store and interact with all types of music fans. Again, many I talk too have never seen their favorite band and some never even had the opportunity. You’re comparing defunct and dead bands to active ones. If the clash steadily released albums for 30 years and then stopped, their fans would be upset.
What’s really going on is that which kurt cobain wrote about in his suicide note. It’s better to burn out than to fade away. A slow death for an artist is doom because they will continue to disappoint year after year because the enthusiasm is gone.
This goes beyond ICP, look at The Kottonmouth Kings. KMK is one of the most important underground juggalo bands there ever was
Kmk aren’t shit. They suck. They’ve always sucked.

All good things come to an end. No one is ruining anything. It’s had its time. It will continue to as long as people buy shit.

Twiztid ARE that which you claim kmk are. You should respect them. All they did was decide to be in charge of themselves. I think they’re boring but I want them to succeed because if they do it brings people in. New people. People who don’t have every jokers card and haven’t seen icp live yet. People with enthusiasm.
I mean spoiled or like it’s available. Icp aren’t churning out jokers cards because they think we are their friends and they want us to rock out. They do it to get paid. It’s part of the capitalistic machinery of our culture. It’s all about making money.
Bottom line is don’t fuck with the wicked clowns. What about when the world’s like fuck us, kill us, what will ya be? What About when i’m 103, what will ya be? I sure as fuck will be down with the clown, but I know some of you bitches can’t handle ICP anymore.
I’ll bump icp as long as i like their products. This ain’t a cult or a gang.

Yup, I remember Juggalos bitching at the Jake and Jack tour about the 5th not sounding like Riddle Box! Its always been there, for whatever reason its just ingrained within our culture. I have my tastes for sure too, the only albums I’ve bitched about was MDP and Found, and I know mad ninjas luv those albums. But I do have to agree that we are super spoiled. I remember thinking about this way back in the day, Like damn J and Shaggy are STILL together holding on strong! I luv that shit!

The whole argument is bunk really. There are a lot acts that spoil their fanbases harder than ICP does Juggalos. Tons of them. It’s not really relevant though because the key to being happy is being grateful for what you have. The rest is just hyperbole.

Juggalos are the most spoiled fan-base of all time, but this dude just being a whiny bitch.
Well…that saved me a lot of time. Was going to reply to this dude but that about summed it up.
Only thing I’ll add is that when dude was talking about something Juggalos do/did that he agrees with he said “us or we” and when it was something he didn’t like it was “you or Juggalos”. It’s frustrating to me how often this comes up but every single This is the End of the Movement gripe boils down to “the main problem is that other Juggalos aren’t acting like me.”
