So I was researching more about the Juggalo march on Washington, and I heard about the FBI classifying Juggalos as a gang. I didn’t think that they had much to back it up with, and they obviously have nothing, but this wikipedia article really goes crazy on slandering Juggalos. It reads:
“Juggalo (or Juggalette for females) is a name given to dedicated fans of the rap group Insane Clown Posse or any other Psychopathic Records artist. Juggalo subculture originated from ad hoc fan groups for horrorcore hip hop music; in recent years, criminal groups began using the name “Juggalo” and associated imagery from mainstream Juggalo culture. Juggalo gangs band together under the Juggalo banner in order to engage in patterns of criminal activity. Unlike members of the general Juggalo subculture, these gangs have handbooks detailing gang ranks and responsibilities, and commit crimes for financial gain. The National Gang Intelligence Center has also predicted that “The formation of rivalries or alliances to gangs outside of their group will allow the Juggalos to evolve into a more sophisticated criminal entity through associations with hardened, experienced gang members.” -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juggalo_gangs
How could being a fan of ICP be mixed up with being a gang member? Seriously, people who thing this are just crazy as shit.

Seems even your Wikipedia source is sane enough to distinguish between the general Juggalo subculture and gangs who use the name. Here’s a screenshot from the 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment (from the FBI’s website) if you’re interested:

Few of my friends started this little thing called Magna Town Wicked Clowns. Not a gang, more like what they called themselves because they didn’t do crime. According to Wikipedia it is a juggalo gang. I like reminding these friends that they are gang leaders all the time.

I have similar stories about Juggalo “gangs”. Small town Juggalos thinkin they’re hard and starting a gang. Apparently all that being in a gang entails is telling people that you are indeed in a gang, hangin out at the park, sellin some ditch weed and showing up at parties and refusing to have fun while tryin to play your shitty Juggalo rap “album”.
It’s also the same type of Juggalo (in my experience anyway) that thinks there’s a test you have to take to be a Juggalo, that you aren’t a Juggalo unless they tell you that you are, that you have to get initiated into Juggalodom, and that a hatcheman is an earned trophy as opposed to a charm that you can just buy. They’re also the dumbasses that paint their face and go to Walmart just so that they can say that they have “haters” when people look at them like they’re dumbasses.
None of those pockets of suburban gangbangers were ever a serious threat beyond getting into a couple fights here and there if they had some liquid courage in em but if you were to ask them about it they were makin moves in their city.
I have mutual friends with some of em still and they’re elated that the FBI kind of sort of labeled Juggalos a gang. Lil fuckers brag about it.
