In hopes of keeping the bickering out of our main reading area and to keep topics on point, I have decided to give us an arena for it.
The rules are as follows

RULE 1: After each of you have stated your case in the main discussion thread and no conclusion is drawn you are to “drop the soap” and call out your opponent with the @theirname feature. (https://i.imgur.com/3ftnaurs.jpg) copy and paste minus parenthesis

Rule 2: If a third party is full of both of your shenanigans he/she can “drop the soap” and call out both ninjas.

Rule 3: If you refuse to pick up the soap and continue your discussion in the main thread area you will put yourself on time out for 12 hours to cool off.

Rule 4: After 10 posts, 5 from each party you will allow a 24 hour window to open to collect “whoop points”. A conclusion will then be drawn and the loser will have to post something publicly from the winners mouth. The winner gets to choose the losers words for a public Juggalo humiliation.

Rule 5: We are family, each argument will only remain online and will not affect family affairs at events.

I am not sure I understand completely.

How is it determined in Rule #1 that “no conclusion is drawn”?

How is Rule #3 enforced?

Wouldn’t Rule #4 become more of a popularity contest and not about who has the better argument? And what measures are there to stop people from programing bots that create new users for the purpose of whooping themselves.

Do Juggalos even like to follow rules?

idk about the whole drop the soap ordeal..

i think the best way for it to be handled is for a mod to step in and ask both parties to move their argument to another thread and threaten to delete any continued bickering in the current thread..

i think this should only be done if a fight brews on through an entire page.. arguments are unavoidable.. but maybe someone should step in to prevent flame wars from raging on for hours..

Uh oh, i got Psyrals attention… You know scruffy, i actually copied and pasted the whole thing and wrote you a pm, was going to ask your opinion. I should have but didnt, no offence. Just shot this into existance and wanted to see where it went. If i were to be the only one “dropping the soap” then itll look like im promoting my own thread which is exactly what i dont want. If ANYTHING worked from last time something like this came up then please delete my post, re word/work it and put someone elses name on it. Ill be glad to give someone else credit and help.

As for rule 1 no conclusion meaning third or fourth rebuttles should not take place in main threads

Rule 3 should be enforced by the offending party themselves or should at least be shunned by other members for x amount of time.

Rule 4. Do juggalos know how to create spam bots?

Some of the disagreements that ive seen come from perspective and should just be looked over by all parties, however this is not the case. Our mods were called out earlier in the week to break up an argument or delete threads, cant find that exact one at the moment but they could have been directed to a second area to dispute their cases.

@The Warlock i disagree, anyone should be able to “ask” both parties to move their discussion. Mods arent around 24/7 to catch flame wars. And “dropping the soap” makes it more fun. Unless you can think of another fun way to ask. We not here to be modded or disrespected so loss of accounts i believe is unnecessary also. Like i said a lot of what i read is just different perspectives and could be done somewhere else.

First thought after reading this idea: This is a great idea and we should absolutely instate it. It would solve a whole slew of problems and, without actually being used, be in the back of everyone’s mind as they bicker. Also it would turn heated shit on here into almost a game that forced the people involved into actually thinking about the point that they’re trying to make. This is a really fucking good idea.

Second thought after reading this idea: This idea will never work. These rules would immediately get broken for the sake of getting broken. At last years seminar J went on a rant about not spraypainting the portapotties. There was a lot more spraypaint on the portapotties after that. If Violent J can’t keep Juggalos in check, our forum sure as fuck can’t.

Mesn went nuts with the spray can way before the seminar. I remember the name cause i couldnt believe someone spelled mens wrong 15 times in a row on all the porta johns… J also said if you see someone doing something fucked up to stop them. Yes? If this wont work then i will claim failure, if it does then i give everyone credit. Any ideas are helpful, consider this a rough draft form… What are your opinions on what will work?

Yeah, he told us to say something and all it did was make the taggers hide it or do quicker jobs. Point being; Juggalos break the rules simply to do it. Add in new stipulations and they find a way to dance around em.

But you sound serious about this deal so I’m not going to be the one to stop you or hinder it so I’m down to try it out. Don’t have any specific ideas yet but I’ll give it some thought. For now the basic idea of what you’re proposing has potential. But the more rules/stipulations there are means the more rules/stipulations there are for people to intentionally break/manipulate. Need to find a way to keep it very short and simple. Like maybe the dropping of the soap can get dropped by any/everyone whenever they want but once it gets “whooped” by a certain number of actual members, the people involved have to change subjects/take it to a different thread/take it to private messages. If they don’t there has to be some kind of consequence. Not sure what that would be but there has to be something. Basically, I’m down but I think your idea needs scaled back.
