I don’t think @scruffy is in jail. He still logs in every couple of days. Last login was January 21, 2019 8:21 am. The logins come from the same IP that he’s used for close to a year.

Can’t delete users. But we can ban IP’s (I do it all the time for spam and illegal content). It slows the spam down a bit but it is far too easy to proxy or VPN to a new IP.

Kara is not Smack. Kara is from NOLA and Smack is from Canada. Both have different IPs and both have online presence that extend back years showing they are not the same person. Infact, Kara and I doxxed each other for fun about a year or so ago. I know for a fact that they are not the same person.

Depends on what type of ISP. Cell phones ISPs have IP subnet blocks that are quite large and you can not pin down a location via IP. Some ISPs rotate IP leases so you only get a general location like an area code. If it is a static IP (not as common as the other two) that is directly assigned to an individual by an ISP, then the location can be pinned down to a street address or at least a zip code. Some companies that people work for are large and have multiple static IPs and constant VPN tunnels set up. The company I work for has branches as far north as Omaha with a constant VPN tunnel to Houston. When someone in Omaha at our branch is on the internet, the IP looks like it is coming from Houston. There are also proxy services that alter the requesting IP’s packet header so that the reported IP is not the real IP.
