I hear what you’re saying man, I thought about something like that. I don’t know if I could live without electricity and running water though. Indoor plumbing and all that. That’s just because I’m a spoiled American I guess. If I wasn’t so used to it it wouldn’t be a problem, it sounds nice to go back in time, but dude, ESPN wasn’t even invented yet. I would never see the playoffs, never be able to smoke weed because it wasn’t really around, girls didn’t put out as much, and when they did they always got pregnant and then you would have to marry them or their father and brothers would castrate you. I’m not knocking what you said, I just couldn’t do it for all those reasons and more. It does sound nice with the no debt, no credit, no student loans, things were definetily easier. They were also pretty boring in my opinion. Even after you got married there was no birth control and trust me, pulling out is not foolproof. I would have about 20 kids and no SportsCenter, I just don’t know if I could do it. I know people back then had it easier, but dude, they were probably really, really bored. That’s just me though. Then again, getting away with murder would probably be pretty easy. All that CSI shit isn’t around yet either. Guess that’s a plus.

I’d go back in time before I ever went forward. You see the 60 Minutes a couple weeks ago after the game? Dude, they got these robots now that do the work of one and a half of us, and they never fuck up. They don’t even crash into each other. I don’t think the Terminator type future with machines killing us is going to happen, but man, you think the economy is bad now? How long before all this technology becomes a curse? I think we’ll see it in our lifetime. Say there was a nuclear war too, if you went into the future after that, what would you come out in? A world like the end of Under The Dome, where you couldn’t even breathe the air? That’s why i’d be scared to travel forward, even traveling back is better than that. And if I really stop and think about it, people back then didn’t know what Playstation was, or XBOX, or even a phone. If you started talking about life right now you’d get stoned as an instrument of Satan. They probably were content with life, they never knew another way to live. It’s not such a bad idea, life was definetly simpler. Jobs didn’t require a resume and references, forget about background checks. Shit, I could probably get hired in that time. You mentioned the Romans, dude, that could be interesting, absolutely. Romans were all about partying man, Caligula style. That could be fun, I don’t know if I could watch people get fed to lions though, that’s just fucked up no matter what time in history it is. That shit’s just brutal, and they complain TV today is too violent? That was definetily another period in time man, and they were definetily on some other shit.
